TOR
  1. Graves, Ryan
Additional Details:
Leafs make this trade because:

In this scenario, I feel as if Seattle would take Kerfoot from Toronto and Graves from Colorado. Now instead of giving Seattle two players that would benefit their team, Toronto and Colorado swap those players to help each other out and force Seattle to pick a lesser player. Obviously Colorado is familiar with Kerfoot and that is where he played his best hockey. I feel as if this is a win-win for Toronto and Colorado and Seattle gets the worse end of it.

In this scenario, leafs would protect Rielly, Muzzin, Brodie and Graves and the Avs protect Kerfoot over somebody like Jost or Nieto

You do realize Seattle literally can't select Mikheyev right?

So the 4 D you protect are Rielly Muzzin Graves Brodie... Seattle picks Holl or Dermott over Engvall who I assume you meant to put since Mikheyev doesnt qualify

Why would leafs want to use up that money in Graves? It's actually a position they are deep at.

I dont think COL would protect Kerfoot in this scenario and its probably easier for them to move Graves than Kerfoot if they wanted to trade them after expansion. Avs would pass on this imo

I would do a Graves for Holl deal, that would balance LHDs and RHDs on COLs blueline, but that might have to be after the expansion draft and would really only work if SEA takes Kerfoot over Holl and Donskoi over Graves

Offensive and defensively Graves and Holl had identical stats last season. Both have two years left till UFA. But Holl makes 1.16m less. What's the love for Graves, especially when the Leafs are deep at LHD
Dreiger isn't signing for just 1.5m. Joey Anderson the top 12?
