Edmonton doesn't really need ANOTHER defensemen at this point. Just ride with what you have since it's worked so far.

I do think it would make sense for both Dallas and Edmonton to make a similar trade as to what you've suggested.

Sharp to Edmonton for Pouliot and a 2nd in 2018.

I think Pouliot can turn things around and rebound next year and the Oilers are going to need the future cap space and they do get a good player for the short term in Sharp who will help their playoff push. I usually think rentals are a waste but this is a rental option that really benefits the Oilers because of the cap.
