What makes you think the caps are going to trade there best dman and there best dman prospect. This is a terrible trade

Hall went for Larsson, now I know that maybe every gm isn't as crazy as Chirelli but that has set the market for a RHD. That being said I have no idea as to why Caps would trade a dman who is better than Larsson for a forward who is arguably not as good as Hall and to top it it all off throw in a good defense prospect and a first..I don't mean to hate but that just unreasonable. Also no clue as to why the leafs or any team would give a 2nd for rocco grimaldi, they already have 2 versions of him in the NHL who are already much much better (Nylander and Marner) and they have probably another 10 in there prospect pool. Also I don't see why Canucks would quit on Virtanen for what's being offered. Like I said im not trying to hate, just explaining logically why these trades wouldn't make sense from my perspective, but perhaps you have a different view.

Avs fan here...and I agree that WSH would never go for that trade. Dropping Carlson would tip the scales a bit too much, but would be close. Just not what the Avs need now. Maybe throw in Burakovsky?

Also, BUF is not going to swap G men...if that were the case, it would have happened when we traded ROR. Grimaldi for a 2nd is dreaming as well. Maybe a 4th.

The VAN trade might work, but I don't like it. The pick is OK, but the players are not.
