Statistically he had the best CF% when paired with Byfield which ranged from (60-68.3 CF%) . In contrast, in Winnipeg his most common partner was: Kyle Connor (53.3%, 81 pts). Arvidsson's injury and Fiala not gelling with PLD initially basically had him running around with bottom 6 players.
- LA experimented with PLD on Kopitars wing for 29 minutes. This was his only time playing wing all season, if PLD struggled at the center position, why has LA been so reluctant to try him at wing, where he has shown success in the past
- PLD is learning a new system, and has shown with the Jets he takes a year before he hits his stride

Do I think PLDs contract is bad, sure do. Do I think they need to buy him out or retain trade, no. I think his contract is salvageable if Byfield plays center with him, I think PLD-Byfield-Laffy could be a potential top line in the NHL. (Mainly because of how good I think Byfield is going to be).</div></div>

Part of my frustration is that just look at the roster and no depth tbh with hardly any cap is my main issue.

Besides that, we gotta get more offensive-balanced coach because they got scorers and playmakers but we always struggle to do that. It's okay to be defensive but you gotta let them be show there offensive skill and bench players or you play Clarke and let him have his growth pains. If we do that I think we will see more offensive production from everyone because you cant rely this is still 2012 n 14. We gotta get faster for teams if we ever beat EDM, then Colorado etc are all fast.

I wouldn’t move him too. If it was that easy to get a deal done without a first, all of the teams would’ve jumped on that. It’s a very sad situation with his dad and I felt his pain when he spoke about it. I can’t imagine what he’s going through still like what I was when my dad died.

I mean I was reviewing his dzone exits and how good was he under pressure and getting the puck out because that has been a huge problem for us these playoffs and he was graded very well, so that's why I did that trade and said I have no clue abt his value. I would value it around what I did or even slightly more depending on which gm even cares abt those advanced stats
