That Islanders deal is horrific. Could have had Ho-Sang on waivers last season..... would never move Liligren to get him.

The Florida deal gets a 👍.

The LA deal..... where you certainly address a need for LA, drafting Drysdale in that spot is a terrible idea. He will fall to 4 or 5 imo..... that trade would be made with Byfield in mind. Not sure I would do it for Stutzle. Just seems like a very steep price to pay, even if it is cap relief 101.

I think you are right, Marner is a 90 point player and immediately becomes LA's best player. While I do think there are guys who could be as good as Marner in this draft, a 90+ point player is very rare. This certainly jumpstarts LA. Perhaps add Roy or something as well to balance. Although I am.nkt sure LA can afford another high price contract. Kopitar and Doughty are anchors long term.

Is Marner a 90 point winger though? Or is he a 70 point winger with inflated goal scoring because he plays with a center who regularly elevates his line mates?

There's no doubting he has gotten 90 points but any team trading for Marner wont have that ppg center for him to pass to. I wouldn't be expecting him to drive his own line and still be a ppg player if you dont already have that center to play with.

Horrid giving away Llljegren for. nothing. Kings spend 10m on UFAs and keep their pick instead of trading for Marner

He was on pace for 90 points when playing with Marleau and Kadri prior to Tavares signing. He makes people better.

On pace for 90 before the Tavares signing? He had 69 in 82 that season and then Tavares bumped him up to 90. Maybe he gets there on his own in a couple years but still a maybe. Add the fact that teams have had him, Mathews, and Nylander to deal with even before that and never been the lone star I think teams should still be cautious in thinking he will come in and be what he is now.

I have seen mixed reviews on Llljegren from Toronto fans. Some seem to think he will never make it in the nhl hence why I went the route of Ho-Sang. Also thought about going for other players in his same situation in Lias Andersson or Jesse P. ,

He was on the 4th line under Babs and then went on a run after He was put higher in the lineup the season before Tavares arrived.
