Jets doubtfully would give up Laine for Nylander and Komarov...just saying they're stocked with tones of fwds they need LHD

I doubt if the Leafs would trade Nylander. Not only for his talent (close to Laine's) but would kinda think it sends a bad message to the young Leafs.. Lou is trying to have a close knit group and to trade the best player from the Marlies for a "maybe"....just bad vibes.

Nylander is not close to Laine. I understand what you're saying, but I don't think it's the Leafs that don't make that deal. Lou will deal ANYONE if he thinks it will make them better. I'm just not sure if the Jets do that deal.

Yea, but it's just not Nylander....30th pick, maybe 18th pick and Komarov. Just too much for a rebuilding team.

I don't mind the trade at all. Agree that if anyone were to balk at it, it'd be the Jets. I like Nylander....seems like a player who has a knack for finding the right spot to position himself in...but Laine has that alluring combination of speed, size, hands and finish that is very tempting.
