Get rid of Seidenberg and McQuaid and plug in Carlo/C. Miller. Save a ton of cap. Team looks good!

Nobody's taking on Krejci's contract without retained salary, especially not with a NMC.

You could sweeten a deal with a high draft pick and you may get a taker. He's still a top center for a number of teams.

You leave no cap space to resign free agents. This is not a 4 star GM....

Bruins_Fan1990 - there's 5 FA signings involved in this. What other FA signings do you want that would count against the cap? Other RFA's that Bruins have the rights to can be resigned and sent to minors, traded, or they could replace Connolly, Heinman, Hargrove, Hickman, Acciari numbers. The bottom 5 forwards, and bottom 2 D are fillers - you could sign or trade for other guys in those roles with similar salaries. My point was to illustrate how they have the cap space to sign Stamkos. The biggest challenge would be getting Krejci off the books after that. A straight up trade of Krecji for Myers is more of a pipe dream.

I should have been clearer. No space to sign RFA Spooner, Pasta and UFA Marchand.

You would have $14 mill in cap space going into 2017-18. And this figure is based upon the cap not going up in 2017/18, which presumably it will since it is not increasing this year. Hard to imagine the cap not moving 2 years in a row. So maybe there will be a little bit more than $14. Anyways, say it is $14 mill, that would be enough to sign two of the three FA's you mentioned. If you had Stamkos, signing all 3 wouldn't be necessary. You can plug and play a lot more when you have a stud like Stamkos. Also, the Brouwer signing is a bit of a luxury here too (more of a wish list). You could probably plug Stempniak into that role for $3 mill this year and next, which frees up another $2 mill. I think they should go after Stamkos hard. Similar to how they went after Chara in 2006.
