There is a 4mil and 1 year more difference between Beleskey and Dubinsky and Zuccarello is better than Milano, so there needs to be atleast this or next years 1st round pick coming to Rangers with Milano or 2nd and 4th plus retain something on Dubinsky.

Zuccarello is better but Milano still has potential upside and years of team control. That helps offset the cost. Can’t justify giving up a 1st and Milano for a player going into the last year of his deal before becoming an UFA.

should the Rangers be willing to trade Zuccarello, they might as well wait for the deadline because someone will have to and will spend a 1st rounder on him.

As I can see you added Bittner who is career AHLer/european player at his best. That does not help. Okay, I will justify the 1st rounder because as I can see you dont understand how offsetting cap dumps work. You are NOT looking at this trade as Milano+1st for Zuccarello. that would be dumb (if that is the deal then it is 2nd rounder). You are adding two different pieces there with different values. You have Beleskey (1.9mil for 2 seasons (if sent down minus 1.05 mil,)) and his value is low because he is AHLer at best now and you have Dubinsky who is capable of being 4th line C in NHL, tho is injury prone and has history with it, but his cap is nearly 6 mil for next 3 years which is BRUTAL. Rangers cant afford that. SO what I was trying to say is that you gotta send some value with Dubinsky. With current value Zuccarello is better than Milano, but Milano is that young talented winger Rangers could use in the rebuild. But they can affort keeping him. Counting Dubinsky's and Beleskey's contracts into that you would likely spend 1st rounder to get Dubinsky's contract out and with getting Beleskey's 850k back while he is buried.. Milano and 2nd for Zuccarello would be fair. 1st rounder and bad 5.85mil for basically 850k is pretty fair if the other team can affort 5 mil of nothing. You combine those two and it is Beleskey+Zuccarello for Milano+Dubinsky+1st (18th overall or smth like this) and with that you are having it at BARGAIN PRICE because it would be fair with another 2nd rounder there.

Either way... Nothing we want anyway, especially while retooling.

As a NYR fan, take out Bittner and add a 2nd and we have a deal. While clearly overpaid, Dubinsky is kind of useful.
