I'm getting sick of you idiot fans who claim Nylander is having a sub par season.

2016-2017 GP:81 | 22G | 39A | 61P | -3
2017-2018 GP: 77 | 17G | 38A | 55P +17

Many games without Matthews in the line up, and I'd argue the main reason why Matthews gets so many great chances is mainly due to Nylander creating something out of nothing. What a subpar season though absolutely good one.

If Nylander signs a bridge it certainly would be well under 7m. Not that Nylander has been sub par, I do believe he signs a bridge this summer. He thinks he capable of better, and will try to set up for greater contract in the future.

Marner not Matthews has been driving the bus this year. $4M less is a slap in the face to Marner.

I see Nylander getting a bridge deal of 4.5 mill over 2 years or David Pastrnak type of deal; he's having an okay season based on his talent level, he could be putting up Pastrnak type of numbers, but he isn't there yet. Marner who is developing into an elite talent should make 7 mill or close to that. I could see the Leafs trying to keep Gardiner but not Bozak, but he'll want 5-6 mill per season.
