Are you saying the Kings wouldn't be as hard to beat? The Kings are one of the teams who could take them out in the playoffs.

I'm saying that the Knights could beat the Kings and I wouldn't be surprised. Obviously if the Kings beat the Knights, I wouldn't be surprised either.

And most of you late last summer said Bruins would miss and some said even near the bottom of the conference. I disagreed, and you all hammered me. Now you're all acting like hero's predicting who will make the playoffs (including the Bruins) 2/3's the way through!!?? Weak.........I guess that's why I don't really listen to much of what any of you say!!!

I never predicted Boston to miss. I said Tampa, Toronto, and Boston, and look what happened.

I can’t remember, I had Tampa winning with Toronto and Boston neck and neck for 2nd. Either way it will be a great playoff series.

It depends what you call 'near the bottom'. I had them 12th.

Yes, well this was also one of my worst years at predicting correctly. Many people had them higher than 12th.

Yeah, i'd have to say i did pretty good with my 16-17 predictions ... I thought Columbus would be okay and i also believe i had Boston in the playoffs (though i'm not sure about this one). I remember thinking the Isles would miss the playoffs and everyone thought that was crazy, and then it happened. 15-16 was okay. I feel like i had San Jose having a better year and making it, and Pittsburgh doing really well. I thought NYR would struggle a bit more i believe. 2014-15 wasn't great, i had Buffalo doing okay (not making the playoffs but not doing terrible either), Florida making it i think, and Montreal not doing great. I'd say in the last 4 years, here's how i'd rank my years for predicting (best to worst):

2015-16
2016-17
2014-15
2017-18

Im with you. But at the same time, if you had to pick a team out of all the "outs" to suddenly go on a tear, flip the switch, go on that Cinderella run and sprint into the post season. I'd probably tip the Blackhawks.

Yea, well it just didn't work out that way...

Besides, I wouldn't put anything down on this team - not even on February 2nd... This team has toomany holes, is too inexperienced and has massive goaltending issues with Crawford out with vertigo...

I'm fine with it tho, The Hawks needed a season like this - where they could give the youngsters an extended audition so see who stays and who goes, to see what this team needs to contend for a Cup again next season.... The Hawks also need some high end prospects to boot, so this top 10 (or perhaps top 5) pick will help a lot with the Hawks future so the Hawks needed a season like this.

No worries tho, the Hawks will be back smashing their opponents next season in their quest for this groups 4th Cup.
