I am pretty sure Lindgren is Caps #1. I don't think those players make the needle move for Caps perspective. Drop Liljegren and add McMann (or 2026 3rd) and Caps may consider it.

Rifai adds no value for an AHL.

You’re right - Lindgren is the starter. This trade doesn’t move the needle. The only way the caps move him now is if they get a really good piece in return, equivalent value to a first. I’d imagine most teams won’t pay that right now, so he’s probably a cap until at least March.

I'd consider moving Lindgren this summer if we have a for sure, NHL goalie coming back. Having Kuemper plus whatever one of our system goalies to back him up as the tandem going into the year sounds terrifying.
