-Dealing Krug & a 3rd to Philly for Konecny & two 6th round picks. Philly improves their PP & depth at D, moves up in 24 draft. STL improves chemistry without sacrificing depth, & Army covets Konecny, who will excel playing for Chief.
-Buying out Scandella--who has been quite serviceable, but is an expensive luxury given his current role. Blues still have Rosen
-Dealing Kyrou to Calgary for Hanifin & Wolf. STL replaces & improves top 4 D after dealing Krug; they maintain depth at RW, & greatly improve NHL-ready depth at G, while freeing considerable cap space--which may be needed later to address poor depth at RD. Wolf is a stud, CGY would only move him in a deal like this. CGY gets elite top 6 talent w/ speed to keep up with Huberdeau. Both teams improve.
Krug already declined to waive his NTC to come to Philly. I doubt there’s going to be a change in heart. Also, I don’t think we trade Konecny without some sort of futures with higher upside coming back.
