My Preferred Offseason Moves
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AStovetop</b></div><div>Again that's in the scenario where one of Parekh, Buium, or Yakemchuk are still available there, in which case I think it would be a slight overpay but well worth it. I just think Smith, Bystedt, Celebrini, Edstrom project as better fits at Center. And Eklund, Gushchin, and Musty look better fits as future LWs</div></div>
Fair, those D would be a great get. Palat alone should be enough, I've liked enough what I've seen from Bords so far and he should be M6 next year assuming Musty isn't ready. Some chance to build his trade value or solidify his spot over Gush.
Depending on how this and the next 2 drafts go I can see Smith move to RW.

I'd imagine SJ takes former Celebrini linemate eiserman if he drops.
Really hope they take Nabokov in the 2nd too.

Not sure taking on Palat and giving up Bords is worth it to move up 4 spots.

On a real note, if Bert would take another 1 year deal I'd give him 9m assuming Smith and Celebrini make the jump.

Couture to PIT and draft picks
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gpmack95</b></div><div>I think DET trade SJS would like -- Can flip Fabbri retained and get a 2nd or 3rd easily.</div></div>
No retention spots so they'd have to pay a 3rd team. SJ might do a mid round 4/5 pick swap for Fabbri alone, but Holl is likely a late 2nd to dump.

Not sure on the Pit one, but it's fine either way. Rather keep Couture I think if he'll play.

Primary Goal - NHL Draft and Offseason - 1
Don't think that's enough to move from 14 to 8, especially considering what you said about the drop-off.
I think someone more or less consensus top 11/12 will fall to 14, even if it's not a D and SJ will take them. The 2nd rounders will be used on D and so will the 1st(s) in '25.
However, if that were accepted by SEA then I certainly would love to move up to get Buium.
Def yes to that TOR deal too for SJ.

If Yak or Parehk are there then certainly take them. Jiricek I can maybe live with, but if Eiserman's on the board that's tough to pass up despite that being SJ's deepest positional pool. I think he'd fit great next to a 2 way player like Celebrini.

Using comps

I'd maybe do it, assuming they wait until they're up on the clock with pick 14 and no one they wanted fell. Although in this draft I think a surprise guy or 2 will fall to the mid teens and it'd be more worth it to select them.

Draft day trade with SJ for the PIT pick
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DFinn91</b></div><div>What’s with the Grier hate? He’s been on the job 2 years and he’s already cleaned up the Sharks cap situation, amassed at top 5 prospect pool, secured the best odds at Celebrini, and has two 1sts in the next two drafts.</div></div>
I don't completely dislike what he's done with what he was given and think he's been fine, but for every solid trade he makes there's another head scratcher value wise. That Burns trade with retention was awful from the start and only got worse. Not sure how he retained on Hertl for 6 years and gave up 2 high 3rds in the process for what amounts to 2 late 1sts. EK trade was fine even though he was coming off a great season because his cap was a limiting factor.
Did great on Duke and Meier.
Now that the cap mess is (mostly) clear, I expect him to have some experience and make good decisions value-wise in both draft (his 2023 was A+ in my view) and trades here on out.

At this point it might take a 1st to move Kuemper. A mid-late 2nd probably doesn't get it done.

4 years @ 5m for a 3rd isn't great value, even if Rakell is still maybe decent. But not producing well next to Crosby and Malkin isn't a good sign that he's going to do much of anything in SJ.

At this point I'd just take that for SJ, get a 3rd 1st in a projected deep draft. Assuming a goalie would need to be moved first.
If SJ moves on from one or more of their RDH then I wouldn't mind Ceci for a year.

LW isn't a big need for SJ but if Eiserman drops there you gotta take him, as a big time sniper is certainly a need in the prospect pool. That'd be an amazing start to the draft.

Wayyyy to much. Should be a yes from SJ even though it'd suck missing out on a guy with NorCal ties.
Lets even say Dach flames out: still Lindstrom/Catton + Parehk/Yak + a minimum as it seems now top 4 D in Guhle. Should be plently of quality and quantity to make that a yes for SJ.

Draft to ONL
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sharcuda22</b></div><div>TBH i dont see why the sharks dont. We get a player that is perfect timeline for the rebuild and is better than we would get with the first (unless vegas explodes in the offseason).</div></div>
Only because Knight could be a gamble, but with upside of course.
Lundell seems to be a very good 3C, but especially if SJ gets the #1, C won't be a pressing need and same with LW which are the positions he could play. Rather see that Vegas 1st put to use drafting or trading for a RHD. In the end I wouldn't hate the trade though as I think the values great and it could end up working out very well for SJ. But also can't see FLA doing it with Bob's age and Lundell's key 2-way play for them.
