Team Russia World Junior Roster - December Edition
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>STLBlues17</b></div><div>Kostin led Russia in points while playing on the 4th line last year. He was definitely a lot tougher, cause there definitely a few players that wouldn’t surprise me if their NHL clubs would rather keep them in the AHL over the WJC even since they’ve excelled there already such as Zadina, Tolvanen.

Tampa would say yes only if they could instantly flip Anderson to a team with goalie issues like Edmonton. Tampa has no use for him outside of the next 4-6 weeks or however long its supposed to be that Vasi is out. Simply because Anderson's contract runs into next year makes this less than ideal. Callahan is pretty much guaranteed to be bought out this summer if a move doesn't happen so Tampa would love this deal if it brought back one of the pending UFAs instead.

Lightning Rest of 2019
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TMarch</b></div><div>I think if the package is right, Kenny may move him. They can always resign him for next season. Lipanov is probably not enough, you may have to go up 1 level on the prospect. Somppi, Raddysh or Volkov would probably get it done.</div></div>
If anything Lipanov is a sweetener, there may be some bias, but Tampa wouldn't even consider moving any of those prospects for a player like Howard who isn't really needed on the current roster. He'd be a temp position, then dealt again or thrown on waivers in Tampa.

Unnecessary. Howard is a rental goalie who will be playing the backup role if not put on waivers before Domingue once Vasilevskiy returns. Tampa wouldn't touch this deal unless Vasi is suspected to be out for the whole season/playoffs.

Toronto wants an RHD, not an LHD preferably. They'd look at Ryan Ellis first, even with how good Ekholm's contract is.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LGBstl</b></div><div>Barbashev and a 2nd re not anything great but they are "good" pieces for a goalie. Along with Allen who does have some value.</div></div>
I like Barbashev and a 2nd is a valuable pick but the value is just not even close.
For a starting goalie, the asking price needs to be a top 6 forward or top 4 D-man, plus a solid prospect, plus a pick or goalie swap. From New Jersey's perspective, I'm asking for Allen, Edmundson, and Kostin.
A player like Barbashev is not needed in their organization. Like St. Louis, they have multiple guys already battling for a 4th line role, they don't need another for this season. Plus a draft pick is no guarantee, essentially that trade is a swap of goalies and hoping the 2nd round pick becomes something.

Tampa trade from mmobley
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SammyT_51</b></div><div>I just put that in his own words that he probably thinks Nylander is not good.. Johnson is great player!</div></div>
Comparing simple points stats, Nylander is a career 0.73 PPG and 0.75 last year.
It's better than Johnson for sure, but not by some giant margin. Johnson is a career 0.67 PPG and 0.62 last season, and 0.77 this season thus far.
For a comparable of Nazem Kadri who every Leafs fan thinks is the best 3C in the league (I live in the GTA, all they have done is praise him and the Leafs centre depth this offseason)
Kadri is a career 0.64PPG, 0.69 last season, and 0.57 this year. His numbers and Johnsons are very comparable. Lots of people like to praise Kadri's defensive side of his game and I'll give him credit. He is better at faceoffs than Johnson. a comparable of 50.1% to Johnson's 48.7%, but many of Johnson's are taken shorthanded in the defensive zone compared to Kadri who has only taken shorthanded 2 over the past couple of seasons. Also to use an advanced statistic, of SAT percentages since they both get a lot of defensive weight on their lines, Johnsons SAT Percentages are 49.30% which is nothing great, but Kadri's is 48.95%, there's not a glaring difference between these 2.
Overall what I'm saying is If you think Johnson isn't a 3C, then Kadri wouldn't be either. The margin between these 2 is very very slim if anything.
So no it isn't a fair offer. I'd rather keep a 3C, Top Prospect, and 2nd Rounder over someone who is at best a top winger or 2C.

For all we know, this could be a sign and trade. I don’t think his NTC kicks in until July 1st, so could be moved to a different team for a player, prospects, picks, etc.

I just don’t think he’s worth that much. There might be a team that might overpay. I certainly hope not, but it also wouldn’t shock me. It wouldn’t surprise me to see him take a discount to stay though like all the players seem to be doing. If he does leave in the off-season, it’d mean time for Cal Foote to come up regardless of development I think. Which would save money for other players.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>The_Real_FBGM_37</b></div><div>Guy also said about Kaliyev:
"This one is looking bad for me right now since Kaliyev is widely considered a riser, not a faller, with the way he’s lighting up the OHL — most rankings have him closer to 10th than 50th as of today, and certainly in the top 31 as a consensus first-rounder. At the time of my rankings, he was already off to a hot start through a handful of OHL games, but I was down on Kaliyev after he failed to impress me at last season’s Memorial Cup and underwhelmed again at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup this summer. In those tournaments, against elite competition, Kaliyev wasn’t much of a difference-maker, but he’s dominating in the OHL and thus deserving of a higher ranking going forward. In hindsight, I probably should have kept Kaliyev up with Nolan Foote in the late first-round range or at least with Samuel Poulin in the early second-round range. Truth be told, I moved Kaliyev around quite a bit before settling on a grouping with Tag Bertuzzi and Sasha Mutala based on skill-set, but based on production Kaliyev will be back on the rise for my November rankings. There’s no disputing, he’d be a first-rounder if the draft was held today so, barring a drop-off, I’ll be adjusting accordingly. If I could use a mulligan for October, it’d be on Kaliyev."</div></div>
Lol. I'll give him the Mem Cup, all of Hamiltons scoring fell off a cliff there with a million post hits, but whoever you're quoting must've not watched him at the Hlinka. 3G, 3A, 6PTS, in 5 Games for 2nd in scoring on Team USA. Kid did good.
