F it bring back Hallsy

i actually think Hall fully retained, maybe twice retained, would be a really good pick up for boston.</div></div>
Think playing on a line with Marchand/Coyle can cover up those warts? They said they need to get faster and Necas makes sense for that. I also love bringing Hall back if JDB is gone too

Guentzel
I dont hate the Guentzel signing at all, I just think it’s unrealistic he signs here if we don’t have a good C for him. Maybe playing with Pasta could be enough? I think this team does need some talent. You do have $3.8m in cap still. I wonder if you trade a Geekie to free up $2m and avoid the Carrier signing, that frees up about $7m. I also think the best way for this team to improve the bottom 6 rather than signing someone for it, is to acquire a player that bumps Coyle back down to 3C. Maybe there is a creative way to get a C via trade within this framework or maybe Lindholm takes $7m aav.

Kid Line
I’ve see a few trades for Ullmark where Drury is part of the return and the Bs just do not need another 3C. They have 4 or 5 on the roster already.

Yeti
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ON3M4N</b></div><div>Don't see the value for Boston. Bjugstad had a career year at 31yrs old and will be a UFA after the season. Geekie is 25yrs old and has seen his production increase year over year. Geekie had 6 less points than Bjugstad, makes $100k less and is an RFA when his contract expires.</div></div>
I’m curious about your projected growth for Geekie. Love the player but just seems like he is a third liner who can play up as needed and the Bruins really have almost too
many of these middle six guys so I think the 2nd round pick in return is really good value to get back. Not sure it’s realistic but it feels like selling high on Geekie. Bjugstad is meh to me in the deal. Don’t see need for him either.

Lets Dream
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bcarlo25</b></div><div>okay, lets dig into that one. a lot there. you really want to compare those two trades? yikes pal.
Lindholm got:
a pure multi-year cap dump
two okay prospects (vancouver protected their top guys pretty efficiently)
round 1 pick
conditional round 4 pick.
You've got Draisaitl getting:
Carlo - more value than the entire package going to calgary, one of the best defensive d men in the league on an incredible contract
the bruins top prospect - argue about his value as you wish. i'm not here for that
a guy that played center in the NHL as a teenager - those guys don't move
the reigning vezina winner
1st round pick
2nd round pick
you can't be serious trying to compare those two.
contract wise, if he comes with an extension, we have a good chunk of evidence that it doesn't impact the trade value all that much. This is bad.</div></div>
You’re being disingenuous calling Kuzmenko a pure cap dump. You want to cite Ullmark’s 22-23 accomplishments but disregard Kuzmenko’s? The Flames took him in the deal because of his upside and potential. Not to make money work. Brzustewicz is a higher ranked prospect than Lysell as of Jan ‘24. I’d agree Poitras has more value than Jurmo and a 2nd is worth more than a 4th but again, Draisaitl is worth more than Lindholm. You understand that buddy? Or you just gonna continue to move the goalposts? Keep making snide remarks. Neither of us are or will be GMs, let’s have fun here. You can build your fantasy land roster however you like, and I’ll make mine.

Bruins 25
I don’t think this team can afford to go into next year with Zacha/Coyle as 1 and 2C again. Even with the extra winger. Neither Bertuzzi or Toffoli are that much of a game changer.

Elias Lindholm this year, 4 months ago, went for a roster player, 2 prospects, and 2 picks. He doesn’t have half the resume of a Draisaitl. Is the issue you have that I didn’t include the extension for Drai? I would assume an extension gets done if he really wants out of EDM.

Respectfully, you might be too attached to your own guys. You have to give up value to get a Hart caliber 1C. It’s not happening without including a roster player and that roster player isn’t Frederic or Zacha like some people probably wish.
