Would like to get a 3rd for Raddysh but I don't see him being brought back next year. I imagine hawks take best mid-round pick they can get for his rights

That's a solid offer. I'd rather not give up Joseph but getting Karlsson for Chychrun would be great.

Young players to target
this team isn't good enough as it is imo... however there is still 9mil in cap space to use
I'd rather play st. Ivany over poj but I like the upgrades in D.
offensively I like the JGP idea. wouldn't trade for either Robertson or kaliyev tho
I'd spend the 9mil for a top top winger and play either only one of the two in the third line or give one of our guys a chance. (yager or koivunen)

Solid trade for the isles. Sucks to lose pick 18 but nice to shed some money and get younger. Plus Lou has a great track record in Round 2 so ill take it

Yeah if we lose this series I could see us pulling the trigger on a Jarry or Gustavsson deal, probably would want to keep Broberg though

Does Rossi and Stamkos make them a deeper team
Interesting take.
Not sure Kane will go for 2 years deal. Pretty sure he said he wants to stability and to play till 40 with means a 4 year deal to 36yo. Don't think it's a good idea. At least not for Detroit.
Can't say I am in love with Rossi idea. Another 5'9" shrimp and no physical presence on top 2 lines again. Aside for Stammer they are gonna get pushed around and ran at again.
Who is this guy you have in goal???? Another Florida back-up? Don't think it's good enough. At this point SY needs to step-up and get an A level goalie. Can't get away with B or C types anymore. Not if you expect to make the playoffs

In terms of value.. that’s a pretty damn good value offer for Tkachuk actually.

3C option V2
Couture is a great player and plays a game that won’t get too compromised by age for maybe a few more years, but he is hurt, and there is really no garuntee he is coming back which sucks

Of course this only works if Couture is ever healthy enough to play again. Probably less than 50٪ chance.

Calgary accepts, make it an even 1 mil retention and they make it a 3rd instead of a 4th.

That is better but JT I don’t think will leave TO there is almost no chance, he will retire a leaf under any circumstance. He has got a young family and I think even if his next contract is 2 mill he’d stay even if he was offered 7.

The term would scare me - but it’s possible, I guess. I don’t have a good feel for Tre yet, but he clearly values size on the back end - maybe he thinks Graves could improve in a different system / environment

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gpmack95</b></div><div>Ive done retention in other posts and some flames fans say they dont need it but with this team it still works if we retained $1M</div></div>
By some Flames fans you mean <a href="/users/KingofRnR" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@KingofRnR</a>... For some unkown reason he really likes Graves and has wanted the Flames to acquire him for years.
Myself I'd be perfectly happy with a 3rd for Graves without retention if his contract only had 2 or even 3 years left instead of 5 years left. 5 years at 4.5 mil per doesn't fit the flames future but 5 years at 3.5 mil per would be fine.

Rossi and who I would draft
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caerii</b></div><div>Let's not pretend like any of your trash proposals have been anything close to McDavid for Rossi.
Late 1sts, mediocre prospects, or worse. You fundamentally misunderstand the circumstances under which Rossi is available and refuse to learn or change. You're a troll.</div></div>
Pick 18 isn't a late pick, it's a mid pick, Beck is one of the top NHL ready C prospects who has about pick 18 value as well and the Pens 2nd is what 40th (ish, I didnt look it up). If you aren't asking for 5th (which Beck + 18th would be equivalent to) what are you asking?

The other two pieces may be in play but not sure on value tbh. I just think Brodin is unlikely to even allow a move, assuming the wild want to move him (Which I doubt). Maybe fair value for Rossi and Gus is just the first and like a c prospect? No idea tbh!</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gpmack95</b></div><div>Make the 3rd the WPG 2nd round pick and we throw in a late pick then its a done deal.</div></div>
We have some cap left in the tank...would probably just say, less picks with less retention
