The value isn't crazy, but the return for Seattle doesn't meet their needs. The return needs to be focused around younger talent. Reaves and Kampf are of no interest or value to Seattle and their long term. Domi maybe, but the return should be a mix of NHLers that are still in RFA age range, AHLers with the potential to become NHLers and draft picks. Also not sure if Schultz is the right fit for Toronto, but could see Dumoulin being a good fit. Getting Tanev could be fun if they get Chris Tanev from Calgary, but otherwise not sure he's a need for Toronto.

The Edmonton deal is an interesting one. You'd almost certainly be burrying or buying out Campbell or Grubauer for the next 3 years, but the 2 firsts do make it interesting.

If they are sellers
Being a Rangers fan until Seattle got a team, here are my 2 cents.
1. No way Eberle is worth a first. Anyone willing to pay a first for Eberle, even with salary retention can definitely have him. He's having a pretty down year, but leadership and veteran presence is something, and he's not a garbage player, so I think the best Seattle can expect is a 2nd and maybe a junior prospect with salary retention or without retention either drop the prospect or drop the pick to a 3rd with the prospect.
2. Wennberg is not worth a 1st in any scenario. I can even see him being a good fit for the Rangers. A 3rd is probably the fair price, but the Rangers don't have a 3rd this year or next year, so if the Rangers want Wennberg they'll probably have to part with their 2nd round pick. There's a few teams that may be interested in Wennberg for the right price too, especially with salary retention, so that could push the price up to a 2nd, but value is probably a 3rd, maybe a reclemation project that would get waived anyways to make room for Wennberg.
3. Daccord should be someone that is untouchable. He's playing incredible this year, is under 30 and under contract beyond this year for only 1.2 Million. That being said, as far as value for Daccord, if he were actually available, given the performance this year, the contract and the number of teams needing goaltending, I would expect someone would pay a 1st for Daccord. That being said, I still wouldn't take any call for Daccord if I were Seattle. As far as Schultz goes, I think he's a solid trade target for a team, but Toronto isn't that team. He's not the type of defender they need. To the right team he could be worth a 3rd rounder.

NYR To Cup
Seattle is a hard pass on that deal. Wheeler has a No Trade Clause, so he's not going to waive it to go from a contender to a bottom team. Not to mention, when he left Winnipeg, he said he wanted to play only on the east coast. The draft picks are laughable as well.
Goodrow isn't a great fit on Seattle. If they're moving Gourde, they're going to want to get younger. Goodrow isn't that much younger than Gourde. Seattle would likely want Kakko.

Wennberg to Carolina Lindholm trade used as baseline
Using the Monahan trade is a better litmus test. He went for essentially just a 1st round pick. Sure there's a 3rd if Winnipeg wins the cup, but likely it'll just be the 1st. Monahan has 35 points in 49 games. Wennberg has 20 points in 50 games. There is a desperation factor for centers with Monahan and Lindholm off the board, but still, I can't see Seattle getting anything more than a 2nd rounder for Wennberg. Maybe a 4th and a good prospect if you prefer prospects over picks

Seattle TD
No way Seattle gives up picks to dump the Driedger contract. They're under the cap and clearing the burried cap would only allow them a modest amount of room to make another move that really wouldn't be wise given where they are. Without a companion move for the cap space there's no point. If another team is desperate for a keeper and wants a shot at Driedger, I'm sure Seattle would send Driedger for future considerations.

Seattle declines.
Borgen is better than Perunovich and is a Right Shot D on top of that. Hayden for Bitten is a wash perhaps although Hayden has more NHL experience. I don't think Sundqvist is worth a 3rd rounder either, but if you're picking up Borgen, you'd need to drop the 3rd going to St. Louis and St. Louis probably needs to be sending a 2nd instead.

The value on everyone is about right except for Megna. I'm not sure who would be interested in him, but if someone does want him, I can't see him being worth more than a 7th. Wennberg can probably get a 2nd, particularly if Seattle's retaining 50%. That being said, if it's Arizona they don't need retention. And I can't see NJD taking Tatar back. NJD is probably the least likely place for hi to end up outside of Colorado.

Seattle Sells
I can't see Seattle Trading Larsson unless they're getting a D prospect back that's ready to play top 4 minutes next year. And there will need to be a first to go along with that prospect. Seattle doesn't have a RD prospect ready to come up, so if they trade Larsson they'll need to sign a RD in the offseason and to get a top 4 RD in the UFA market they'll pay more than the 4 million they're paying Larsson. Since they have control for another year, I can't see Seattle trading Larsson unless they're getting a piece back that they could reasonably replace him with.

While Seattle very well could sell Yamamoto, I don't think they sell the first Washington born player who they have control over as an RFA for so little. If that's what the market bears out for Yamamoto I think Seattle just holds on to him. I don't think they sell Yamamoto unless a team is offering a 3rd or better which means they likely will be holding him.

Deadline adding to the young core
I don't see a scenario where Seattle is willing to retain salary for multiple years. Bjorkstrand is also a top contributor with 2 more years of control at a really nice cap hit. Seattle would need a pretty amazing deal to trade him away and retain salary for multiple years. The other thing that will be interesting to follow is how Tatar plays in Seattle. It's a small sample, but Tatar is almost averaging a point per game with Seattle. If he is at or near point per game pace with Seattle at the deadline, he'll likely get more than a 4th. A bit of a gamble, but if a team can get a point per game player at 1.5 at the deadline or even 750k that will garner a 2nd rounder at 750k for sure, and no worse than a 3rd at 1.5. That being said, Seattle could probably flip him for a 4th today if they wanted to lock in the better trade pick than the 5th today.

Seattle isn't in a position to be trading that many prospects for a single player unless they're getting someone like McDavid (Who would be worth more than that, but that's the only caliber of player Seattle should even consider going all in for at this stage).

Seattle needs a really solid D prospect in any trade that involves Larsson. The value otherwise is probably fair, but since it's Vancouver Seattle would want a premium, so from a value perspective, they'd likely have to part with a 1st instead of the 2nd. And find a way to get a better D prospect in the trade, although that could mean dropping Karlsson from the trade.

Larsson to Jets
If Stanley and Chisholm didn't have consistent injury issues we'd have a trade, But because of that, the trade would need to include a 1st rounder. I think it'll take a lot to pry Larsson from Seattle, so it'd likely need to be a 1st and 2nd instead of a 2nd and 3rd with Stanelye and Chisholm...you might be able to drop Chisholm from the trade with the 1st and 2nd rounders.

optimize for next year
relatively reasonable trades, although, I don't know if Pierre can get a 5th, and why Seattle is giving a 5th for another team to retain more money, usually that would be the team receiving the benefit that pays the draft capital, so if NYI want to give a 5th round pick and Seattle keeps the 5th rounder I'm ok with the value. If Eberle were to pick up his production to what he's done the last 2 years, I'd say that Seattle shouldn't need to give any draft capital back, but to be seen if Ebs can pick things up in the new year.

deadline
The only reason I would be against trading Larsson is Seattle doesn't have a viable RD coming up in their prospect system and anyone they draft would be several years out. Topi would have to be part of a deal for Larsson as well as the first because Seattle needs a RD prospect that one could reasonably think can be a top 4 D man in the next year or two, otherwise Seattle's better off keeping Larsson and trying to re-sign him in the off season before considering trading him next year if they're sellers again.
For Tatar, I view it as a low risk move. I think he can do more in Seattle than he did in Colorado, so either he gets them back in the hunt and they don't sell, or more likely he does more in Seattle and they can flip him for more than they paid. Since they paid their own 5th for him, Florida's 5th would likely be worse than their own meaning they actually lose value on him. I'd like to assume he increases value and can garner Florida's 4th instead, but Florida wouldn't necissarily pay that today.

West coast east coast Swap
Looks great for the Rangers, not sure how great the value is for Vancouver or Seattle. Vancouver should be able to do better for dumping Kuzmenko. They should be able to dump him without giving up draft capital. The return is probably fair, but they shouldn't need to give up a 2nd and a 4th to dump him. Seattle is taking on cap, giving up a fan favorite and solid bottom 6 with good penalty kill ability and mainly getting late round compensation. Bump those 4th and 5ths up to a 3rd and a 4th and the value is probably fair.
