<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>buffbry</b></div><div>I can't really see then trading marco, his compete is what yzerman loves. Perfetti doesn't profile the same way. They need scorers in the worst way, if it was a top guy I can see marco involved(like in a bigger deal for kyle connor), otherwise he's exactly what yzerman wants</div></div>
Yzerman waits two years and Kyle Connor comes home in UFA to play with Larks!!… just as Edvinsson, Seider, Raymond, Johansson begin their prime years… with ASP, Danielson, Kasper, Mazur, Wallinder, and Lombardi all having graduated and making impacts… plus hopefully Cossa and the ‘24 1st joining too.
Been a longg rebuild road but finally there’s light at the end of the tunnel and future is bright. Wings will make playoffs in 2 years and then stay for the next two decades.
I agree Perfetti and Kasper profile completely different, but Perfetti doesn’t lack compete, he currently majorly lacks foot-speed and also strength. Kinda a funny skater still, no? Idk. But Perfetti is high character and very hard worker and will have a nice career. Personal prediction is fetti will continue to do just fine as he progresses developing in the NHL turning into nice player for Jets, but will leave fans and org. wanting more somehow and then he will explode as a late bloomer reaching his potential (while probably on another team after Jets tire of waiting and everyone gets change of scenery) a la Reinhart or Middlestadt type of way.

6 x 3.5 for a 31y old 3rd pair d-man :grimace That's risky and Detroit isn't doing that.

Big off season s-wings Perfetti
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>buffbry</b></div><div>Berggren is comparable, it wouldn't be that much of a drop off of production, think gus nyquist type of player. I do think there is something there, I was just adding in a starting point. I know the jets have a ton of LD which is also wings strength, so I'm assuming it would be something else</div></div>
Unfortunately I don't the Jets and Wings are good trading partners. It doesn't make sense to make a lateral move for a similar forward as that doesn't push the Jets forward, they need to start filling holes like RHD and 2C to build a more complete team.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>buffbry</b></div><div>I do think there is a trade to be made but this isn't it.
Berggren has to be I'm and I'm assuming one other guy that helps Winnipeg today.
1st 25
Fabbri 50% retained
Berggren
Another piece
For perfetti</div></div>
I like where you're going with this for sure. I didn't include berggren just cuz feels like an odd swap of a similar player currently (Perfetti is younger and will most likely be better but currently similar production and play style) but I get the approach. Another thought I had would be the 25 1st, fabbri 50% and maybe a RHD prospect like Tuomisto or Gibson. That feels like a lot to give up for Perfetti who is an RFA but also I guess maybe that's what it takes to take him from Winnipeg.

Not in the ballpark at all for Detroit. Zero interest in him or his contract. Also waaaaay too much to give up.

Yeah... Trading two Top 5 prospects and our 1st for an overpaid winger who disappears when it matters and is one year from UFA is gonna be a hard no.

I get that but I don't think he would be the best use of cap. We were 9th best for goals for, 9th worst for goals against. Love him or hate him, Copp is one of our best defensive options in the forward group.

If Clayton Keller doesnt want to go to Utah what would a trade look like
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>buffbry</b></div><div>What if it looks like this, pending we dump the players not listed below

Keller Danielson kane
Kasper compher ras
Mazur copp veleno
Wallman seider
Edvinsson roy
Chiarot petry
Whoever (gibson, markstrom, saros etc)
Lyon</div></div>
After seeing the way we handled Berggren, you know as well as I do we're not running with three 21 and under rookies next season lol. (Technically four if you count Edvinsson)
I don't mind the Roy idea but realistically unless we're trading a mid round pick to get early access, it's no guarantee we get him.
Also the glaring issue I see with that forward lineup is Raymond/Debrincat/Kane/Keller is a tiny group of Top 6 wingers. Raymond would be the biggest of the group.

Detroit passes, Rakell makes more than Holl, Even with $1,000,000 retained Rakell makes $600,000 more then Holl. If we buy out Holl that clears at least $2,266,667 or something like that. That pretty much lets us re-sign David Perron for a year or two.
