I'm basing my opinion specially in what I saw last season. Yes, Georgiev can bounce back and play even better than Vanecek. But, at this moment, Vanecek value is a bit higher than Georgiev's. As a Pens fan, I hope to see Georgiev playing better than Vanecek. That's for sure. We'll see...

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>UpsideDownQue</b></div><div>How so? COL gave up less than this for Georgiev and I think him and Vanecek are pretty similar</div></div>
In your opinion. Vanecek has been proved to be better than Georgiev. If both keeping playing at the same level of last season, Colorado will regret about this trade. Ok, Georgiev played very well in playoffs. But it was just 2 games. In regular season he was BAD. But, we'll see. Maybe Colorado improves his game. They're good development team is still 26. For a goalie, he's still a bit young.

Detroit Red Wings signed Ville Husso (3 Years / $4,750,000 AAV)
I think something between 3.0M and 3.75M would be fair enough. It's not a good AAV, but it's not that bad that some guys here are talking about, because of the good term.

This trade and Husso's make Georgiev's trade even worse for Colorado.

(NYR/COL) - Georgiev for 2x 3rd, 1x 5th
Oh my God, Sakic. What did you do here? You're helping a rival for the cup. WHY??? Georgiev deserves a 3rd OR a 2nd, at most. The rivals are even happier, cause that probably means that Kuemper will leave the champs and he's available in FA.

Pittsburgh Penguins signed Kris Letang (6 Years / $6,100,000 AAV)
2 years more than I expected. But, to me, it's not that bad as most here are thinking. AVV is good. The term isn't. So, to me, it's an ok contract. As a Pens fan, I can live with that.
As for Malkin, I really hope Hextall don't offer him more than 3 years. If he offers, than it'll be a disaster for Pens future.

We can see in these situations when someone has real moral values or he thinks that you can do whatever it takes to win...And McDavid support it. I can't respect someone who thinks like that. It's DISGUSTING!

But the fact is: you CAN'T put aside the terrible things that this horrible human being is. I'd never cheer for a team which support a man like Kane. One day, if he proves that HE REALLY CHANGED, then he could deserve another shot in the league. Until there, NO WAY!

Pittsburgh Penguins signed Jeff Carter (2 Years / $3,125,000 AAV)
As a Pens fan, I like Jeff Carter pretty much. He can play in both sides of the rink and any forward position. And he's been playing pretty well. But our priority should be re-sign Letang, Malkin and Rust. Then we'd try to re-sign him. Now, it'll be much harder to keep Rust, especially. That's the reason that I don't like it. I hope Hextall figure it out.

(CHI/PIT) - Nylander for Lafferty
As a Pens fan, I liked Lafferty's energy and physicality. But it's undenieble that we won in this trade, cause Nylander's upside is higher than Lafferty's. No-brainer. I hope the theory becomes reality and I wish the best for Sam as well.

A dump in a good team. Not in this Arizona garbage one. He'd be a top-6 winger in this team. No-brainer.

I'm not sure if Coyotes will get more for Kessel. Zucker AND Aston Reese plus a conditional 3rd is a good offer for him as a rental. He's far from his prime when he played for us in our back to back cups.

He had really tough times last 2 seasons and I want to see more from him in this one to put him as an elite player. He's not at this level to me. He's a very good player. But not an elite player anymore. If he plays consistantly like he's been playing this season, than I'll put him back in that spot like he was back in 18/19. We'll see...

As for the Kane trade...well, Sharks would trade him for a bunch of pucks, right now. It's not about the skills. The guy has no character. Nobody likes him.
