To my understanding, you can't send Scuds to the AHL without buying him out... Another parting gift of Shero.

Going Russian
How this team will work is getting the most out of Sutter and Kunitz at the trade deadline, with signing both Russian players, and keeping in mind JR won't do many moves around the draft.
Sunq is going to play easier minutes on the 4th line, to prepare him for moving up to the 3rd line when Sutter is traded at the trade deadline. Spaling will then take the 4th line center spot to finish the season. Yes, Spaling is being kept for expensive 4th line duty and his PK skill, get over it.
Kunitz will be traded to a contender in the West, with Kerby or Kap moving up to take his spot.
With the money saved by signing the Russian players, Martin will very likely be kept here by management. I have him at 4 years for 22 million.
Scuderi is going to be dumped at an asset loss to a cap floor team, I picked Arizona because they need even MORE help tanking for #1 pick next year.
Cole is resigned for 3 years at 2.25 million a year.
Lovejoy and Dumoulin will be alternating in the 6th man slot. After this year, Lovejoy can walk or we could explore keeping him if he stays for cheap to be the 21st man on the team and 7th Dman for another year or two. We get hurt every other day, and our young D will start making a huge amount during the 2nd year of the cheap extension, so he can be traded anytime at the wishful thinking price.

Miracle at the draft- Pens have picks
You're short 1 player, unless you aren't having an extra player incase of gametime injuries.
Comeau and Cole are overpayed, which works in your favor.

Down under thunder.
Look for the arrows on the side of the boxes for each players to move them up and down... also bury a few in the AHL, of course.

You didn't mention that you used up 1 of your 3 wishes from the Magic Lamp for teams to make such stupid trades

Can you explain why Toronto would take on near 7 mil in bad cap, plus Lovejoy and a pick for Kessel?

Probably Bad
Minor notes...
This team is not built to win the cup... if it does, great, but I am not trading the farm or banking on some deadline moves for a boost. Infact, I want to sell at the trade deadline.
Chorney I have resigned as our extra man. I pray this team learns to not bring an extra forward with them, but an extra defender with them incase of gametime injury.
Sutter will be trade bait at the trade deadline, pick(s) or some defensive help. Sundqvist at this time will be ready to take the 4th line, and Winnik will move up. Farnham will be holding a spot until Kap is ready... Then Downie slides down and Kap takes a 3rd line wing position. Kunitz will be dealt at trade deadline or draft if a buyer appears, Zatkoff I would also look into moving if a team would throw a mid round pick at him. I want him used more than Greiss since we have 2 high tier goalie prospects coming up.

Best Possible Roster
This was a funny read... you even make a near convincing comment trying to defend this lunacy.
