Serious offer to move up to 2 Chicago

Not true. Demidov is clearly the best player available at 2nd OA. If MTL is trading up to 2nd overall, they are trading up for Demidov.

Demidov is heads and shoulders above any other forward prospect. He's a half step behind Celebrini, with the only reason he is grouped with others below him being the russian factor and some size concern. However, if Demidov comes over a year from this summer, which I believe he will, he will be an all-star level player. Lindstrom, Catton, etc. as of now do not have the ceiling of demidov. Because the Hawks need a RW badly, can't seem them not taking Demidov aside from possibly taking Levshunov if the Hawks feel that strongly about him and filling another need at RHD.

Packin with Lane and Macklin
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ledge_And_Dairy</b></div><div>Yeah no way Lindholm goes for that. He's having a pretty strong playoffs and is still going to be the #1 center on the market this summer. Boston will be all over him and obviously they are far closer to winning a cup than Montreal. If he were to take a 1 year deal it would be with a team that has the best chances of raising his value or Boston, Carolina, NYI, Toronto, Dallas, etc. the only non-playoff team I could see him going to is Columbus because of the vacant center spot, Gaudreau connection, and cap space. And that will be on like a 50M+ deal</div></div>
Thanks for your response. You raised some interesting points and I want to respond with my personal perspective:
Lindholm is not having a strong playoffs from my perspective with 1 goal and 1 point in 3 games. I'll admit I have not watched the games, but he was brought in to provide secondary scoring and I think he's falling short in that regard.
You're right that he's one of the bigggest name forwards available to sign a deal, but you are wrong in assuming any team is gonna offer him a 7 year deal at big money after a 15 goal and 44 point season. He had a chance to rehab his image in Vancouver. He failed. If he wants to sign a big-money deal, he's going to have to go short term and have a comeback season next year, which I believe he can.
As to why he might accept to do it in Montreal. I would make the argument that Kent Hughes has established himself as the sort of GM who keeps his word. He promised Monahan he would give him ice time and trade him if the team was not in the playoffs to a contender and that's exactly what he did. Not all GMs would make a similar guarantee. I think being guaranteed power play time and a 2nd line role would be an incentive, and the Habs have shown a capacity to make those kinds of handshake deals.
Anyway, we'll see what happens, but I would be shocked if he got a 50M deal. The GM who offered that would go right on the hot seat.

Lindholm addition is interesting! Wondering if he doesn’t like the longer term deals being offered he could very much try something like this! Habs would be a good one to get a bunch of play time too! Win-Win for player and team I’d think (also Celebrini will be a sen so you may have to make adjustments in the top 6 lol 😉)

I think the logic is sound for Calgary to want to regain control of their first round pick ahead of their rebuild.

Keller to Toronto
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NorthernLeafsFan05</b></div><div>He should be played more, but he isn't because of what the Leafs value at the moment. Guys like Bertuzzi, Knies, McMann, and Dewar are all LWs that the Leafs value in high regard due to physicality / defensive play / PK ability, Robertson is not a fit on this team. That's not to say he's a bad player (far from it actually), just that there's no room on the Leafs. That's why you're seeing him traded left right and center. There's just nowhere for him to play.
Robby being traded endlessly isn't a reflection of who he is as a player, it's a reflection of Torontos changing roster philosophies. Nick Robertson is an extremely valuable player and I guarantee if he was given top 6 ice time, he'd breakout.</div></div>
Ah, the jeremy bracco/kapanen/johnsson argument. He's awesome, but the people above him are awesomer

Robertson and Lily while nice are not top end player. Lily is a 2nd pairing d-man who is 25 and Robertson might be a nice top 6 player. Minten and the late first are the most valuable piece. Arizona would want Knies in any trade

Gotta think Keller’s relationship with Matthews - not to mention Toronto being the premier franchise in the league - would place Leafs near top of his wish list if he demands out.</div></div>
Or maybe the offer isn't fair

Keller to Toronto
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NorthernLeafsFan05</b></div><div>Arizona/Utah get:
- A young top pairing defenseman who fits their timelinr
- A legit young roster player who fits their timeline and has produced extremely well on the Leafs despite limited ice time
- A top prospect praised for his leadership and talent, plays center, and fits the timeline
- An additional 1st round pick to add to the already stacked pipeline
- A later pick
If Keller were to want out of that organization given all the recent discourse, I think that is a pretty admirable return for the Yotes. Liljegren would easily be their best defenseman, Robertson would almost certainly be top 3 in goal scoring, and Minten would be an everyday guy. But sure, we have don't have any pieces they would want.
I swear Robertson and Liljegren get mistaken for AHLers the way they are treated on this website. Leafs would be more than happy to keep both</div></div>
Yeah, i dont really agree with your characterizaions of your players.

With the the 3rd pick I think the Sharks would rather take someone with a bit more upside than Dickinson. If there's a strong possibility of Buium, Parekh, or Silayev at that 11-13 spot with the Pens then we'll go defenseman there. I'd rather go with Demidov for the 3rd pick

Big step in 2025
I’ll say that’s not a bad offer for Necas, but the Canes will likely more so be looking for 1 quality piece vs quantity in a Necas trade scenario. Outside of Zegras, I don’t really see a comparable forward the Canes could trade Necas for 1 for 1, so if they can’t sign him, this may be the type of deal they have to settle for, with the intention of flipping the acquired futures for another player.
I’ll also mention that certain lunatic Canes’ fans may say that Suzuki would have to come back, which is absurd.
