For me, I wouldnt mind give them a mid round pick for him, but it has to be a 2026 draft pick.

2024 Sharks for now
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>icehawk2006</b></div><div>Way high for Thrun, Bords. Very low for Grundstrom, Dellandrea, and Ty. Graf likely to be sent to the AHL as he's wavier exempt. Ty will slot in at forward. Smith is a righty so he'll go on the RW. Goodrow is the fourth liner, Grundstrom is a third liner. They love Klim, he'll be in the lineup too. Kunin on the third line</div></div>
I mean the bottom 6 gonna be changed more frequently than the top 6 during the season. There's things that most likely will happen like you said. the Kunin to 3rd line, Dellandrea at 4th. In terms of Smith being right, yes but its not necessary that has to be on the right. Granny is lefty and play as RW when he plays as a winger.

Well sure would be nice to get Askarov, but i think we will roll with Blackwood/Vanecek duo one more year since both are UFA next year. Maybe during the season a trade could happen, once we know about what could we give to them.

He said that he gonna begin skating in July. I hope he come back. With his age and recovering from the injury, i feel that his playing time would be limited, and become more of a mentor.

But the right side is really bad. Most likely we gonna resign Emberson and Thrun, and sign a RD like Sean Walker or Alexandre Carrier. With that that would be more compelling.

I would love Tarasenko as a Shark, I dont think Marchessault isnt neccesary, Zetterlund is a good piece to our foward core in the future. But theres no way we can go into a season with that Defense. At least we have to aquire one in FA.

Yea i would be very happy with if those 2 UFA players do come to the Sharks. And about Celebrini, yea could be in a lower line early season, but I do feel that he has to end up as our 1C throughout the season(You can see Leo Carlsson, Bedard, being the 1C as early in their careers), for his own good for his development. I would rather to put him with the productive player so he can start building the chemestry earlier, im sure he will embrace that challenge. If couture plays, then i would slot Logan as 2C, move Granlund where Smith would take 3C. I'm Excited for the Shark's future.

I like that u did put Celebrini and Smith in the top 6, and im down to that forward core. Maybe I would slightly prefer a Teuvo Teravinen/ Tarasenko over Mantha. With the Dmen. I think we will add a RD like Sean Walker Matt Roy or Alexandre Carrier in there, and I do expect Thrun to be there as well. But Overall i do like it.

Some 2024 Sharks Update
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>athrin</b></div><div>OTT declines not trading a LD for a LD.</div></div>
I mean, Ik already that they have Sanderson and Chabot as LD but still Ferraro as a 3LD is pretty good tho to solidify that position, and will be much cheaper than Chychrun's current contract and the upcoming one. Giving more cap space flexibility to invest somewhere else. As well Ottawa likely would take Zayne Parekh tho.

Some 2024 Sharks Update
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SharkTank</b></div><div>Well the minus 44 sticks out for Zadina and we'd lose Chychrun for nothing as a UFA.</div></div>
Umm I dont think the last season +/- stats say much about Zadina when almost everyone in the team was terrible at it, since its a historically bad season. The team literally couldnt be comfortable move/control the puck and score. I dont think it gonna repeat or be even worse than that. Zadina still produced +20 points on that team tho.
With Chuyhrun, i mean we have a ton of cap space next year wtf? More than this year... The Brent Burns cap hit will be gone.(If you check the Long Term Outlook tab, you can see the projected cap space of $40 Million in 2025) And theres no problem to re-sign Chuyhrun, most likely will be around 6-7 mil per year.

Some 2024 Sharks Update
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SharkTank</b></div><div>Why is Grier trading 2 years of Ferraro and Bords for rental Chychrun? 🤔
I'd rather not re-sign Zadina. 😬</div></div>
Well, personally Chychrun would be more serviceable than Ferraro as a 1LD, providing more offensive production helping our young core to produce, and could link up well with Carrier that he can balance it out with the defensive zones.
With Bords, i think with the Afanasyev addition. Grier has been looking for big body guys that can produce and hes looking to move on from the Doug Wilson's picks. I like him to be in the sharks, but he could be traded soon as well. He has to fight for his spot.
As for Zadina, I would ask you why you wouldnt re-sign him? Having him as a 4th liner in a short term deal isnt bad after all.

Sharks Acquire McGroarty Liljegren Mikhayev Sign Dillon DeMelo
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>glarson17</b></div><div>Let’s be real here, cutter showed that when an ncaa player wants out and it’s well known, the team has little leverage. Cutter is better and drafted higher so Rutger is getting less.</div></div>
Yup, i agree that it could be more cheaper than I anticipated now that i look up the Gauthier trade.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>WillyMackyWilly</b></div><div>Am I the only one who noticed Monahan at $10m XD
I think this looks very good as a whole though!</div></div>
I did noticed at the beginning as well, im very skeptical that would happen. I would prefer to send celebrini to the top 6 so he can be surrounded with the productive players we have and can develop along with Smith and produce. I would rather spend it on a complementary top 6 forward like Teuvo Teravainen, that for sure help the young core.

I doubt San Jose gonna get 3 former Jets players in FA. But I can see one of Dillon or DeMelo coming back. A Sean Walker or Alexandre Carrier would be good options as well. I would prefer to use Celebrini as 2C

Its not a terrible compensation tbh. But if the Sharks want to get him, has to give the Vegas 2025 first round draft pick at least.

Fun 2024 Sharks before Caps takeover
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Johnny03</b></div><div>I like Teuvo's fit on the Sharks. He can be a really solid complimentary winger to Celebrini or Smith at a really reasonable number. A top-six w/ Teuvo, Smith, Celebrini, Eklund would be fun.</div></div>
Yea, at the beginning I was considering Martinook, Duclair as options which is more realistic approach. But I agree that Teuvo would definitely help the young core to produce and be more comfortable playing. After watching Warso's press conference in where he wants to make this team more fun and more tough, I do think they can pull the trigger into a Teuvo type of player, another option that I would love to have is Tarasenko(if he wins the SC with FLA and be more satisfied).
Also Teuvo can play as RW so when Musty comes.

Lets see what happens, still i do have other options outside Taransenko could do more sense. Like bringing back Duclair in a more talented Sharks team would be cool as well.

Possible 2024 Sharks Roster
Its more of a wish pick. But Yea perhaps could be. But its up to him. Could depend since hes been having up and downs seasons and playoff teams cant give him the significant role with good money. I think the Sharks could consider giving him that role and money for a short term deal for mainly help mentor Smith, Celebrini and Eklund and cultivate the team to trend upwards after a embarrasing season. As well Sharks wont need to spend excesive cap space like a Necas, DeBrusk, Stamkos.
