Yegor had less points than Mcmihael did at the same age, Mcmichael is also a center and a beast defensively. The caps wouldn't even do it 1 for 1 lol

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NucksnOilers</b></div><div>Feels as if I've received some pretty opposite reactions to the Yegor trade.
I feel like both responses are a little overreactive, on the Flames end they're getting the 17th overall selection (more of a mid-first round pick where lots of talented forwards can be selected), a former 1st round centre prospect to play in their middle 6 where he has more offensive opportunities and a top-4 RD who can be flipped in the future at the TDL and play big minutes. This is a pretty good package for a 30 goal scorer they're gonna have to pay big money too if they want to flip him.
On the Capitals side, McMichael's future in Washington with Leonard and Cristall coming up looks scarce right now, he hasn't shown much of a offensive outburst and has seemed to struggle defensively. He also won't get the right opportunities with Lappiere, Strome and Leonard in his spots. TVR will most likely be moved for around a 2nd/3rd anyways, and the Flames could be a suitor for him since they moved all their veteran RD at the TDL. The 1st hurts to lose but the odds of them providing the same production as Sharangovich is fairly low imo, I would feel more comfortable with a 30 goal scorer than the 17th overall pick in a fairly weak draft (who can still be quite good but is no promise)</div></div>
Mcmichael legit has some of the best defensive metrics in the league, He outscore Yegor in their 22/23 Year so if he's shown no promise look what Yegor did. Laslty Leonard, Cristall are wingers.... So just say you don't know puck or watch the caps next time lol

A deal centred around another LD wouldn’t actually solve anything, just make the team worse with a couple picks significantly lower than the ones they gave up a year ago.</div></div>
Was more along the lines of thinking the Sens try and move money elsewhere because there big money players arent producing like big money players and they try and shake things up and get a cost controlled solid top 4 D

Coleman had a career high of 36 points, Goodrow 24. If coleman got a 1st and a former first and goodrow got a first alone I would say pretty eaisly that dowd falls in between those two and that was a great comp for the range that dowd gets thats somewhere between lol

I mean no Braden Schnieder found his way into top 4 minutes on the Rags, you just gotta be good lol, Byfield on the Kings playing L1, Jarvis on the canes playing L1 and those are both contending teams

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tryger</b></div><div>So your issue with Danault isn't his contract or his play, but that LA shouldn't have got him because in 2 years they would sign PLD?
Yeah Im not saying him or the contract is bad, this was like more of an organzational thing, Like how i put Dougie from NJ. Hes been worth every penny for far, but they have Hughes, Nemec and Casey coming up so soon will be paying an offensive D 9M to not even run a PP. I dont blame you kings fans for loving everything about that contract, this is just an outsider's perspective of wondering how the team would be with Kop-Byfield-Dubois as a C core and of spen the Danualt money elsewhere
Byfield has played one game at center, Turcotte is more likely to be given that opportunity. It's ok that you haven't watched that many Kings games, but you know he's a shutdown guy and on a points pace he's been much better in LA, so I don't understand why you think that someone who would likely get more in free agency now is on a bad contract. Because I can tell you Habs fans would sign him at $6M in a heartbeat.</div></div>

His playoff prowess is one of his best qualities.</div></div>
Im just saying if their C depth went like Kopi-Byfield-Dubois RN and they spent that Danualt money on a top 6 winger are the Kings better or worse, especially if they let Byfield develop at C the last year. I am not an in depth Kings know it all so I wont say I am but from an outsiders perspective they werent really cup contenders when they singed him and I just think letting the young kids grow into their roles as centers might of been more benefical to the Kings 5 yeas down the line

Yeah I said it in the description is that I dont know if the current Kings makeup wins them the cup and would you look back in 2 years and say maybe those 2 early playoff exits weren't worth not having Byfield play his normal positon to develop and keep Turcotte down? The cap and the contract is not bad, its what signing him has done to their pipeline. And even if Dubios "rebounds" to his career high of 63 points thats still not an 8M Center

I can't even remember if he was the one that signed that but yeah its like im pretty sure Holtz in a bigger role could do what Palat or Timo are doing this year, I think the obsession of wanting a new shiny piece got to him. <div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bcarlo25</b></div><div>I think what teams are looking at with Pacioretty is, "can we put him in the right situation where he can catch lightning in a bottle?" Followed by, "if we do that, can he stay healthy." Both really big question marks, so I think any team taking him on is taking a gamble. I actually really like the bruins as a fit here - relatively low cost (unless there's some bonkers bidding war, which isn't impossible), and I think he would fit in well with Zacha and Marchand. If it doesn't work, oh well. I think that sort of deal could work if the bruins take a swing at a big target like Hanifin, fall short, but still want to add to their roster.</div></div>
Yeah he deserves a cup and the Bruins are loaded (plus like when tampa choked Rd1 they came back and won it all) so I think he love to get that cup the only thing stopping him would be his Habs pride haha. But yeah I think like a 3 from Boston

Yeah thats why I said this isn't what their values are just teams that could fit was more of a discussion. Secondly, he got traded for FC because Vegas was in cap Hell he was like a PPG that season. but Idk if his value will be higher because GMs will look at his past or it will be lower because of the injuries
