I don't think there is a single asset in the Vancouver org that is worth Power 1 for 1, let alone Dahlin

0 incentive to trade Olofsson for ANYTHING, especially not a worse winger who never plays a full season and hasn't even hit 30 goals

I think its gonna cost more than that to get domi. I get he has a bad year bud he can bounce bac to be a 60-70pts player. I don’t think habs are gonna trade him but if they does its gonna be for a top 10 pick or a better player

I'd say at least 10 in the draft could do it.
Top-7 do it easily. Werenski, Connor, Provorov, Konecny etc. All cut it close, and I'm sure some of their careers will blow up next few years.

VAN will re-sign Markstrom, there not going to let him go after years of patiently developing him to be number 1. Without Markstrom the Canucks would not even be a playoff team.

31 in 31 challenge
Im not a big fan of getting a goalie when we already have a good tandem with Grubauer and Francouz. Many teams are shifting towards a 1A 1B situation instead of relying on top goalies to play 65 games per year. I dont think its smart to pay an extra 3M+ per year to get someone who will only start 50-55ish games. Goalies just need to be playing in the right system and you dont need a superstar in net to win, you just need them to get hot at the right time.
Also wheres Zadorov?

SJ is 3rd worst in the league YTD and chances are very good they at least stay there (and/or 'conditionally' protect the positioning)...
Either way you slice it - the original trade-call is declined by OTT; 100%.

Nice work. I really hope Juolevi and Rafferty can make the jump next season. Rafferty looks ready, Juolevi is gaining traction. Wonder what happens with Tryamkin as well.
Id say Gaudette Macewen Virt Marky and Tanev are all 500k high. Motte 1M high and cap ceiling will be closer to 83.5 In my opinion. But nice work here, my roster would include a Demko trade as well at the draft but hopefully for a 1st round pick. Then sign a ufa backup for 1-2 years until Dipietro is ready.

Question: Is there a deadline for Calgary to declare, with this type of condition ?</div></div>
Has already been decided that the pick swap is in 2019, because Calgary missed the playoffs in 2018.

:laugh :laugh Dude you can't be for real? First off Mike Green is already on record saying that he has no desire to play in his hometown of Calgary, So Green to the Flames isn't happening. Sure dude Trevor Daley NYI 2019 2nd and Dylan Larkin for an aging Mike Smith+Mikael Backlund+NYI 2019 4th round pick obviously you don't know value here. This is a :laugh Larkin easily cost you Dougie Hamilton not this. Larkin for $2 million per for 4 years try more like $6 million to $6.5 million per for Larkin on a 6-8 year deal. At least if you're going to deal for Larkin make it fair for Detroit no need in an aging Mike Smith plus Mikael Backlund really :laugh Not even close first off no way Trevor Daley waives his NMC for Calgary. Larkin is already a better player then Backlund. You want Larkin and Daley we want Hamilton and Valimaki that's just how crazy your deal is here. Neither are going to happen.

edit: just saw that Larkin contract. 2 mil for a 21 year old coming off a 60+ point season?? fix your head

From Vancouver Radio - Would You Do This Buffalo/Vancouver Fans? Feedback Wanted
This would not make sense in Buffalo's case. Risto is going to be great without having all the defensive pressure and minutes that he has been logging in recent years because of the obvious number one pick, Dahlin. The Sabres shouldn't be looking to get rid of him, in less if a team massively overpays for him. Which, in this instance, is not the package to get Risto out of Buffalo.

Anaheim isn’t giving up their next two firsts. They need a quality defenseman before a Forward. The Ducks defense has been trash and the only Carlyle doesn’t play Bieksa is if their is a significantly better player because he LOVES Bieksa.

Dillon, Faksa, Pouliot for Severson, Audette, 4th. You get someone with high ceiling back who might break out this season, we get small but noteworthy D upgrade.

Huberdeau is UFA in 6, Skinner is UFA in 2. I've repeated time and time again that I don't believe my team will be cup-ready until two seasons from now, so I don't want assets that expire before that.
Not to mention, Skinner's advanced stats indicate he's quite poor at defense and terribly poor at build-up play. So if anything, you'd be sending me a pick.
If we're talking Huberdeau, we're talking Marchand/Bergeron. Or we could go with the prospect approach and be talking Tkachuk/Nolan. I'm also willing to talk Seguin if we're upping the ante to this level. I'll see if I can think of something that works in both our benefits (but generally speaking, not anxious to trade either).

We're getting closer to a mutually beneficial deal. I'll consult my AGM and return with a counter offer. Normally, I'm not too comfortable trading away my 1sts and 2nds in minor trades. I'll get back to you about this.
And for Richardson, I might do something like that (6th) to make the deal smoother for you, if I see that I can do something like that, even though I do have better options elsewhere. I won't totally go hardball on you haha</div></div>
Let me know. I feel like I'm giving up the better players (though we might disagree on where Boedker fits, he's still an upgrade on Paajarvi.)
Helm, I'm realistically expecting 2 years out of. His body might not hold up well for his style of play much longer and he'll be making way for younger players in Detroit.
So I feel like the pick upgrade is a reasonable balance to the deal.
Don't feel obligated to do Richardson, only if you see him as a useful piece. He still has some good years in him as a veteran bottom 6 winger if he's 100% this season.
I'm just trying to avoid either placing him on waivers later or giving him a younger player's place for this year.</div></div>
Alright, I discussed with my AGM. We're rather high on Paajarvi's chances in having a surprise season, as he seems to have the chance at an increased role on an improved team. But we are willing to do the trade, if you're willing to lower the stakes on picks (we'll need 'em).
