Why would we trade for Rielly, who is older than eichel and extend him at LHD when we have Dahlin, power, Samuelsson, Johnson at lhd

Beecher isn’t really a good prospect and Debrusk is super redundant on a team packed full of already underperforming wingers. The only thing that truthfully interests us is the first which alone isn’t enough to land 82+ games of Hertl half retained.

San Jose losers all these trades by a lot. Burns with retention is worth way more than a 5th, couture with retention is as well, and that Hertl trade, yikes. Hertl would make way more on a new deal as well.

How the Wild can fit both Kaprizov and Hertl
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jupetto</b></div><div>Greenway isn't really needed. We're looking good for wingers for the foreseeable future. Not a knock on his game, he has improved and looks good so I wouldn't complain necessarily.</div></div>
If Kane goes, either through contract termination... (unlikely at this point), or by buyout. Greenway would be a viable replacement for him. Sharks don't really have anyone who can just replace him right off the bat.
Blichfeld is solid but isn't ready for that type of role in the NHL yet. Besides, Greenway is better.
Bordeleau will be better, without question, but I don't reasonably see him making the roster for at least another season or two. Despite the hype around him.
Adding Greenway makes sense, if for no other reason than he's a asset that can be used to get a healthy return further down the line. I'd say his value is probably around a low 1st on his own right now.
Why on earth would DW turn down that kind of additional value?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>wabit</b></div><div>MN took a big hit in their d-corps this offseason. The quality depth is gone and they are an oft injured group. Spurgeon lost his blankie and declined last season.
Both of their goalies were pretty bad down the stretch to the Playoffs. They aren't playing in most of their games vs awful teams like they did last year either.
AZ and NSH are the only teams in the Central that I'm can comfortably say this team is better than. I have COL, WIN, and DAL as better than this team.</div></div>
Like I said, we completely differ in opinion here so we will have to agree to disagree. I think this roster in on par or better with everyone in their division other than Colorado or Winnipeg who I have ahead. Dallas roster is most certainly not comfortably better than this one.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>wabit</b></div><div>I wouldn't go near that trade if I'm MN. This isn't a team that is a lock for the Playoffs, so that that could be a high 1st + 2 prospects. Prospects that are going to be needed to help them get past the $14m x 3 of dead cap MN is looking at starting next season.</div></div>
I disagree. In definitely think this roster is good enough to make the playoffs in the central nvm the entire west. I think the Wild are set up to cope without the first round pick and those two prospects I included in the deal. But I guess we will have to agree to disagree here.

Secondly thats the point: "overvalued scraps" is what is wrong with this argument. Studnicka is far from overvalued scraps, a 1st is a 1st, Steen is emerging as a decent prospect, and well the 3rd is scraps I guess but not overvalued considering its a pick. So there is the problem, people just dont understand value lol
This is unforuntaley not a matter ofa opinoin, it is just a matter of peoples lack of research and knowledge, a problem that I like to avoid by doing my research
Bruins reject these two trades, and thats simply a fact, If we wanna talk opinion though I can throw out a couple trades that we can debate lol</div></div>

Not all firsts are equal in value, I think that’s pretty obvious. A top 10 pick isn’t on the same level as 25th or later. The sharks are looking for sure NHLers and neither of these two guys are that. Maybe Studnicka is or maybe not. I don’t see how the bruins would think they could offer even less than this and have San Jose not laugh back at them

In the end, the sharks simply won’t trade to Boston if this is what they’re offering. Rangers, Wild, Ottowa, and Montreal all come to mind when talking about Hertl destination. Every one of those teams will offer more assets that are far more attractive.

They are still both just factually bad trades lol
Its like if i said hey bruins trade debrusk to the Kraken for a 1st, a 2nd, and Dunn, that would obviously be a bad bad trade lol</div></div>
I get that everyone has a right to their own opinion on what they feel is fair and I will have a bias towards the sharks since I am a fan of the team, as would anyone else with their own team. I don’t get the delusion of thinking you can get a top centerman for overvalued scraps. One Boston site says the trade would involve 1st and Studnicka and the next site says will Studnicka ever put it together. Doesn’t seem like what San Jose is looking for to me.
