NMCs/NTCs are traded occasionally. I don't believe this to be a sound argument.

He's a left shot winger, going on 32, has 3 more years on a bad contract, even with the retention and isn't replacing anyone in the Jets' current top 6. It will cost Buffalo an asset or two to move Skinner.
Winnipeg's only interest in moving Iafallo is for cap space, which is why it needs to be for futures.</div></div>
Thanks for the insight. I know it won't be easy to move him, and I believe Buffalo will become desperate as soon as 25-26. B/O certainly on the table.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheBoyDuddus</b></div><div>The problem with Boucher is exactly what you said, what is his value? Much like Norris I think the injury history and fact theyve consistently been out of the lineup the last 4 years makes it difficult to move them for what theyre likely worth. Also much like the Norris situation because of the depreciated value Ottawa would likely be best served by keeping the player and hoping they can get healthy.
If he was to be moved I think that Joki is a serviceable right shot D which is something the team is looking for. Curious to see what other Sens fans say, I dont hate it but I would prefer to keep Boucher.</div></div>
Thanks for the response and insight. I see Joker not as a garbage dump, but as an extra player the Sabres shouldn't be paying his worth. He's now a luxury item that can be played on lines 2 and 3 (1 in a tight pinch) but the value in him now is the trade return. There's plenty of teams looking for team controllable RHD's so there's probably many options here.

I noticed they have about 14M next near to augment their roster. They'd be swapping out a defensive -able player for one who provides much more offense for an extra 2. something. I understand what you're saying and wouldn't be opposed to offering something small in addition.

The last time Buchnevich was traded it was for a 2nd round pick and a 4th liner, and now he's three years older. He even had team control.

Think the value is fair for the Sabres trade as far as a short and long term talent swap.. but it's just so unappealing. Finding a 40-50 point overpaid winger in UFA is not hard.

Mr Molson Please Buy The Sabres And Trade TT To The Habs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MTLaveragefan</b></div><div>well he went 68pts, 94 pts, 56 pts... I don't know the context this season (injury or what not) - but TT is LOVED in BUF, like we love Slaf - so the price to acquire him will be too high from the bat - and for that price I don't want to take the risk that he is a good 70 pts player vs. a 90 pts player.
Especially when Lindstrom/Demidov/Iginla/Catton/ Levshunov are likely to be JUST as good.</div></div>
He had several significant and extended injuries this season, on top of Matt Ellis running the powerplay (into the earth's core) and a coach that allowed a casual atmosphere. You'll take a look at the shooting and possession analytics and realize the talent in Buffalo greatly exceeds what they put to the net.

As your team exists today, I too wouldn't be interested in that offer. I think it's fair in a vacuum, but your team is too young to do that deal. The Sabres are too.. um.. experienced. To do that deal as well. It's a loss for both sides. I also don't think the compensation is enough for a long term, stable 1C who has shown the ability to peak 40 goals. Sabres had a bad coaching problem this year.

Think the value is ok for Joker but I don't think the Sabres want picks. Andrew Copp would probably interest Buffalo. Even if it's not a 1 for 1 swap.

I don't see a developed bottom 6 center there. If the Sabres want to win (and it was rumored Kevyn looked at Cates, and mentioned out loud his desire for a bottom 6 C) then this is the type of move they need, and want to do. They also talked to CBJ for Jenner.

Long-term RD depth for them is
Sanheim
Drysdale
Bonk
Jokiharju
Ristolainen
It's simply not a good move long-term for them.</div></div>
Like Jerry said above, if they move on Risto, it makes a lot of sense.. to me at least. He's been effective all over the defense for Buffalo this past season. Played with Dahlin, Power, Johnson, Clifton...
The reason I believe the Sabres move on here is because they have their 4 long term, top 4 defensemen, they have Clifton and Ryan Johnson. Paying upwards of 4 million for what shoehorns him into the bottom pair when everyone is healthy doesn't make sense.
Understood on Cates. I personally wouldn't have a problem adding small to that offer. Still seems reasonable though, even with the Bonk trajectory.

I'd tend to agree, but I think Krebs and Hayton 1 for 1 could be achieved, or even adding a 3rd or 4th to Krebs gets it done.
