Hell in 56 games last year he scored 3 goals, here is you rushing in.... no thanks.
Easy no to not take on that 3 mil cap hit.
Play the youth, save the cap, actually use it on an impact player on the top 6 that will get real ice time.</div></div>
And youd rather have Matt ****ing Nieto and a 4th round pick lmao. Bud you think you're always right about everything dont you.

Hes not a 4th liner. Most if not all pens fans on here would agree this is a good trade for the pens. You might not like it but youd be the only one. So reword your comment to "easy no from me personally".

I'd easily take that. Hes a fast guy who can play the PK and can also provide a scoring punch

It's not giving up. If he plays good then great. Just means we have depth, something this team hasnt had since our cup runs

A nearly 5 mil guy on the 4th line is not ideal. I'd rather use that money for a 2nd pair LD and drop Graves to the 3rd

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LuckyMoneyPuck</b></div><div>O'Connor - Crosby - Rust

right there is when you said it.
I didn't put words in your mouth, you put them there.</div></div>
Bunting was just under PPG with us while playing with Rakell who was having a massive down year and Geno who had his worst season of his career. He would work with Sid. We don't have to have a guy who puts up 70+ points on that line, if they fit like Bunting has they will produce. Again, the 1st line has never been our problem no matter who is on it. It's the bottom 6 and 3rd pairing defense. Rust already does that himself (when he's healthy). That's why O'Connor worked on that line really well because it extended his game.

Yet another EK trade idea
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LuckyMoneyPuck</b></div><div>I think you have to move Acciari and Jarry in the next year if you do this.
Crosby, DOC, MP, and Ehlers all looking at possible raises. Will need significant cap space to make that happen</div></div>
If Sid truly wants to contend and stay here he'll take a team friendly deal like he did for the contract he has now. If Jarry doesn't bounce back he's gone. Ehlers shouldnt get more than 8 mil, Ellers wont resign, Rakell potentially bounces back and we move him to make cap room, and the cap is going up. Cap space isnt something we should be worried about.

None of which is sustainable. You should not take what he did and then turn it around into "everything is fine."
It's clearly not.</div></div>

Another EK trade idea
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LuckyMoneyPuck</b></div><div>people don't play well off their natural side.
It's not so easy to just shuffle them around.
Especially when you got a guy like Bjorkstrand who spent his whole career playing on the right side.
So you make a whole bunch of moves, never acquire a real 1LW which is probably the biggest ticket item the team needs, as fixing the 3rd pairing shouldn't be overly expensive.</div></div>
Dude like I said the lines can be shuffled.
O'Connor - Crosby - Rust
Bunting - Malkin - Bjorkstrand
Joshua - Eller - Rakell
Bunting - Crosby - Rust
O'Connor - Malkin - Bjorkstrand
Joshua - Eller - Rakell
O'Connor - Crosby - Rust
Bunting - Malkin - Rakell
Joshua - Eller - Bjorkstrand
I could go on for a bit. Theres a lot of combinations that can be made. If you're worried about Bjorkstrand playing in his offside then move Rust to the wing instead. Again, I was looking at this trade as an IDEA not necessarily the exact players. Could be Burakovsky or Gourde instead of Bjorkstrand. The truth is we dont necessarily need a 1LW. We showed towards the end of the year that O'Connor fits well up there and I'm sure Bunting would too. I'd rather spend our cap on the middle 6, because I'm not too worried about who Crosby plays with, as long as they're not the ones scoring every night. We need depth throughout the lineup.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LuckyMoneyPuck</b></div><div>they don't have the cap to retain.
This doesn't work anyhow. Bjorkstrand is a RW. Joshua, is a LW.
There is no room for Joshua, as he's a mid 6 guy and they have DOC and Bunting so that's out.
Bjorkstrand would probably fit 2nd line with Rakell dropped to 3rd.</div></div>
The lines can be shuffled but yes it does work with Joshua.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LuckyMoneyPuck</b></div><div>that DAL trade has way to many players with NMC in it.
I don't see why the DAL players agree.</div></div>
I could see EK65 waiving and Lindell waiving. Lindell will be playing 3rd pair minutes unless they play Miro at RD, which is likely. Not sure about Marchment I guess it depends on if he wants a bigger role. But the idea of it is what I was mainly looking at. I think if we were to trade EK somewhere I'd want something like this in return personally. Picks and prospects would be tough to acquire because of his contract.
