Did Tampa really just Pawn McDonagh?

A smart fan knows BJ HAVE no prospects worth talking about, thus they need to ask for them all.

Aaaa
I wouldn't touch the Rossi trade with a 10 inch stick.
I think that's prob too much for Ristolainen.
I'd like the two other trades but I'm not totally sure other teams would be totally interested.
I know Ant Di Marco speculated the Flyers could try something like with Buffalo however, Buffalo doesn't really need qauntity. They have a ton of realy solid prospects and players. They could use someone like Laughton but not in a deal that sends 13th overall. They're better off sending 13 for a legit defensive RD.
For Necac deal, I think something TK for Necas based could work, I don't think the piece (if any) would be Trikozov tho. They like him a lot. Personally I'd be intrigiued by Jack Drury.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Blazingbat11</b></div><div>Could be any team tbh. I think MTL should choose to trade one of Dvorak or Evans to make room for Beck or Kapanen (if they want more experience instead, Gignac did great when he got called up). I'd prefer to keep Evans, but logically Dvorak is needed more being a lefty.</div></div>
I could see both going, with guy's like Roy/Farrell or even Kidney getting shots at 3/4C until more prospects make the team. Beck I can honestly see making the team out of camp, and my god has Kapanen looked great at the worlds. Just waiting for the meeting that's happening between his agent and Hughes when the tournament ends.

Pick any other team for the Evans trade cause we already have a chance to get that 2nd from the Devils via the Allen trade

(WPG/LAK) - Dubois for Iafallo, Kupari, Vilardi, 2024 2nd (MTL)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FarhanLuigi</b></div><div>Both turds that can't be seasoned enough to be eaten! I would take Huberdeau over Dubois, at least Hubie isn't lazy but just low on confidence because of Sutter. Too much money for Huberdeau but he can be saved.
PLD is cancer lol Kings</div></div>
Huberdeau has struggled the last two years, but I think he can return to being a point-a-game player who can make his linemates better. That's worth at least close to $10.5 million a season. It would still be an inefficient contract, but not a truly bad contract.
PLD, at his best, is a 60-point player who makes his teammates worse. He wouldn't be worth more than $3 to $4 million and only then for a team with a very good coach / captain to keep him inline.

You could drop the 2nds and its still lopsided in PHI's favour... Not that they need to dump salary but for us to take dead cap and send out a top 4 LD? Bad trade for MTL.

Even if that happens I don’t really care. It’s clear this team doesn’t stand a chance in hell against Colorado/Dallas. Even if they do beat them, then they gotta beat the panthers or rangers. Just can’t see it happening. Hope I’m wrong

Oh I don't see it happening either, but it's still an option on the table and I haven't seen anyone post it up yet.

I wish it were that reasonable. But I think it would cost the CGY 1st instead of the MTL 2nd in 2025
Probably also need to add a B-tier Prospect like Sean Farrell.
And still Davidson probably would not accept that offer. He would just pick his guy.

This may go down as one of the worst trades in history. Just about everyone knew PLD was extremely overrated yet LA still made this trade. Why I don’t think we will ever know.

Looking back LA really did not have to make this trade and now with the cap constraints for next year better hope he rebounds
But then again his buyouts looking pretty nice

It's not because manson is a bruiser. But avs literally have no physicality on the backend and get pushed around at times. Look at girard against vegas.

Lehky
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FarhanLuigi</b></div><div>Trade Matheson and he will probably turn into Dan Boyle for a contender. You don't trade those kind of players for magic beans.
Habs fans saw what those magic beans were worth from Colorado despite everyone saying it was too much for Lehkonen.
<strong>Most here, they would rather trade 95% of the league for 1st rounders when only the real difference makers are in the top5-10 of the draft and those picks dont get traded, ever!</strong>
Good NHL players should not be discarded especially with Matheson's skating and puck moving or Lehkonen's ferocious 200 ft game and timely scoring</div></div>
i think that's kind of a bit more older mentality, as there seems to be more and more gems from 20 onward nowadays but yeah for the most part that is true. I wouldn't move matheson he is a great leader, good west islander who can appease the fr-qc market, and fills a need for more puck moving on the back end.
Lehkonen would have looked soo good on a line with Suzuki-Slafkovsky which coulda left Newhook-Dach-Caufield to round out the top-6... urghh sigh

(COL/BUF) - Byram for Mittelstadt
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Rolfadinho</b></div><div>Didn’t they already have enough scoring power though?</div></div>
No, all of the offense was running thru the top line and top pair; they needed a secondary scoring threat and had no 2C options.
Also, your post seems reactive to game 1 vs Winnipeg where we had Sam Girard and Jonathan Drouin injured; both impactful players on our overall team defense/transition game. Mittelstadt was a major positive factor in that game to keep Colorado within 1 goal; not to mention Sean Walker's impact (who we would not have acquired without moving Byram). You can't ignore all of that just to imply we needed Byram back.
7 goals on 23 shots, at one point it was 3 goals on 7 shots. The problem is Georgiev not being reliable until he has faced 15+ shots. Probably 2 of the Winnipeg goals are not really anything he can do about; but the Avs need someone who can be "cold" for long stretches while they dominate possession and not give up a goal every 3 shots.
