Jets at the Draft pipe dream
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mynameisliang_</b></div><div>on behalf of whom?</div></div>
Hawks aren't retaining on Seth Jones. A.) we have a TON of cap space. B.) we create a massive hole on the right side that literally no UFA can fill this off season C.) that jeopardizes our prospect development. Vlasic has been amazing. At least part of that is due to proper prospect development. Can't risk ruining that now. Seth Jones will not be part of any WPG trade...I doubt ANY trade at all. Unless he asks for a trade which has never been reported by anyone reputable.
***EDIT*** Oh $HIT! Did you add the #2 OA going to WPG??? just dreaming. I thought that was a 2025 pick.

That's not particularly close for #2. Winnipeg doesn't have anything that Chicago would be looking for in exchange for that pick

Last Hoorah Chicago Blackhawks
Signing any LD, let alone Gustafsson, is not going to happen. They have a plethora of young LD who need ice time. Hawks will look to add at RD.

Predicting where some UFAs sign
If Jake was going to be 27 instead of 30 this year I could see him going to Chicago.
But I just don't see how CHI who is trying to build a young team trying to sign a 30+ vet to 7x9.

CHI declines, period. I wouldn't even give up the 18th OA pick for Marner. That isn't a move a rebuilding team makes.

That's not a bad offer for Kurashev. I think CHI probably accepts. You'd have to get Colton to waive his NTC, though. Not sure how an open ended M-NTC works, either.

It's one of the more interesting trades for the #2. I'll agree with that. I don't think the Hawks touch trading the #2 unless its an extreme overpay. This is not that.

First, get Skinner to agree to waive his full NMC for CHI. And if he will, it is going to cost a lot more than a 2nd round pick to dump $9m x 3 years. But I'm sure we can work something out.

The Storm is Settling
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>EmailTruck</b></div><div>JFreshHockey's stat card has Vlasic in the 51st percentile offensively, 94th defensively, and 88th overall. He just signed a 6 year, $4.6 million extension and that'll be fair value if he doesn't improve at all, but this was his first full season in the NHL and he's only 22. Vlasic led the team in 5v5 minutes last season without playing sheltered minutes. With Vlasic on the ice at 5v5, the Hawks were outscored 51-50. Without him on the ice at 5v5 (and including all empty net goals), the Hawks were outscored 186-89. It's hard to overstate how good Vlasic was last season. If he played one fewer game before this year, he'd be eligible for the Calder and would likely be a finalist.</div></div>
Happy you're pumped for your boy

If Sennecke somehow drops that much, no way Montreal passes on him if he’s there at 26, heck they might even take him at 5, if he’s there at 26 they jump on that so quickly

Trade back for space
I will start by saying I don’t see Philadelphia making the Chicago trade.
Also, I think it would have to be a draft floor deal, if there was someone still available that the Hawks really love (Catton, Iginla, Sennecke, Lindstrom) perhaps they pull the trigger. But man Dickinson has been so good for Chicago I would hate to see him moved.
Also, Johansen would never pull the Chicago jersey over his head, he wound bought out in the blink of an eye.
