Big goalie trade

Me either. Hope the split games between him and Zherhenko next year and if they both put around .920 I think I will be sold on both of them. If Hofer also takes some steps forward I think we can start to look at moving Binnington. I also wouldn't mind them letting Binnington play out his contract though.

Change of Scenery Players
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>StDetroitBlueWings</b></div><div>Agreed. I'm thinking in two-ish years, the lineup looks like.....
Bolduc - Thomas - Neighbours
Kyrou - Dvorsky - Snuggy
Stenberg - Dean - Sylvegård
Walker - Sunny - Torp
Very young but talented. If we resign Buch (personally on team "Trade Buch") he probably slots in at RW2. Not sure if Snuggy or Kyrou can play LW. But that top line of Neighbours/Bolduc/Thomas just feels like it could have so much potential. Or move Snuggy to RW1 and have line 2 of Neighbours / Dvorsky / Kyrou
Edit: another main reason I'm camp trade Buch is he doesn't fit the timeline, plus he's mainly a RW and we will have Kyrou and Snuggy top two RW. Then need to slot in Bolduc and Neighbours at LW. Then centers of Thomas and hopefully Dvorsky. Are we really wanting to have Buch be third line? Or moving any of the mentioned names down to third line?</div></div>
I think our peak team is when we can have neighbours on the third line. The way he plays is very simple and effective and would get us good secondary scoring on a 3rd line. Our best offense is going to come from a having a second line caliber third line, rather than the two first line caliber lines that most teams take, while casting their bottom 6 into oblivion.
EDIT: That said I am still team trade Buch

Blues probably dont take that, Buchnevich could be resigned Marner is definitely not be resigned in St. Louis.
If we would be trading Buchnevich I would rather just turn it into something with Top 4 potential.

We know some lazy hockey writers say it...and fans like to pile on. But people who actually watch games...that is not what they are saying. There is not even any consistency to what the complaints are about his game. <em>He is lazy....he is workhorse....his skating is bad...his skating is great...he doesn't shoot enough....he shoots too much.....</em>

But I noticed in the second half that he was working harder on the backcheck, was working harder in his defensive zone. It was really good to see that he was taking it to heart and trying to make that part of his game all the time and not just when people were telling him he needed to do it."

He’s more physical than he was a year ago and is much more engaged defensively. He’s a hard worker who can often make himself the best player on any given night."
Scout: “Off-puck play is so much better than it used to be, But is it a strength yet? No.”

...and I could go on. The complaints about him are so wide-ranging....none are consistent.
They see one guy drop in rankings and they want a "FREE FALL"....so they invent reasons why his game is flawed.
But few have any idea what they are talking about.
Its all just noise.</div></div>
In my mind he is still a top 5 pick. I'm sure he will end up 6-10 though.

Its a 15 team list. I would assume he blocks out all of the Canadian teams regardless of their competiveness or contract structure. You're right that it still isn't likely that there is a trade to be had, but it certainly becomes way more possible than it currently is.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Krustull</b></div><div>Unless he agrees to sign long term before trade.</div></div>
I think the bigger krux of the issue is that even if Marner signs long term he is slightly overpaid in a position that the Blues are not lacking in. Marner is good, but he doesn't serve a long term need in my eyes. The draft pick and Parayko do however.
I think the Leafs will probably trade him at the deadline for a pretty underwhelming package. Similar to Guentzel. Marner is undoubtedly an Elite player, but his market value is relatively low because he makes the amount of money that should be reserved for Superstar Centerman like Mckinnon and McDavid. If Marner made around the same money that Kucherov makes, his contract would be more valuable. If the Leafs want to 50% retain at deadline they make get a good deal though.

The Blues are never making that trade with Toronto.
Parayko and Binnington don't have negative value. In fact the only person you listed with Negative value is schenn.
Blues have no interest in Marner. Good Player but we are not paying the dude 11+ and he isn't staying.
Dalibor Dvorsky has no reason to be in this trade.
