Not Giving Kreider his number
The reason I ask is that we lack a 2020 second round pick and if another team offered their 2020 second round pick, would Travis Boyd be enough to take the 2021 second rounder?

Just asking in your opinion ... do you think that NYR are more concerned with getting a 2020 second round? Does adding Boyd sway that into WSH favor to be able to part with the 2021 pick instead?

How about Travis Boyd & 2021 Second Round Pick from Washington for Jesper Fast and 50% retained salary?

Caps Mock TDL
He’s also been a consistent 30 point scorer and a strong skater. He’s great on the PK and is a solid checker. He’s hard to play against. We get a little bit in cap savings too. You can find all the underlying stats that you want to, but Burky value is not great right now. Other teams might be competing to get him, but it’s still a buy low situation. The only player you listed that I would want would be Faksa, but to me we the Stars would ask for more than the Caps would want to give. Why would the Stars want Dowd? To me it sounds like GMBM wants a 1for1 swap of a veteran top 9 forward that is better defensively. That’s what I was trying to find without being too hopeful for a big return.

Something fishy is brewing
I would welcome Namestnikov over Burakovsky to the lineup. He plays solid PK and is still skilled enough to contribute to other areas of the game. He’s also more chippy than Bura, I think he’s got 63 hits on the year so far and goes to the net more. His numbers aren’t great this year points wise, but he’s scored 20+ goals before on a good team. Overall I think this would be a good shake up/change of scenery for both sides, especially in the middle of this slump. Great idea man and not one I’ve thought of before. Would be interested to see what Ranger fans think...

weird line combos
I love spreading out the talent to 3 lines. I love the Conno, Eller, and Osh line. Lars and TJ have said they love playing together. I hadn’t thought about Boyd on the top line RW, but it’s actually a really good idea. Good job man. As for the trade it’s probably close, but a tough value to figure out for sure. I would love to have Bennett’s scrappy style of play in the lineup. I personally think we need another forward that plays with an edge so that’d be great if it actually happen I think.

talk about depth
I agree that Tampa’s loaded, but I would say that the Caps commitment to defensive structure (1-3-1) Neutral Zone trap probably had a little more to do with it than Tampa being tired from winning a first round series in 5 games. Also Washington’s lines are good too and match up well with Tampa IMO. All in all though I can’t wait for April to roll around.

Barber Deserves A Call Up
Yes I love Barbers game too, he’s always putting the puck on net which stands out on a team that’s fairly selective with their shots. I think he will get his chance next year to replace DSP on a deal similar to Boyd’s.

Wilson for Zucker
He’s just looking for a reaction. Zucker is a good player and good offer, but the different elements that Tom brings to rosters is almost irreplaceable. He can play all situations and is our best defensive forward. The physical play goes further than just hits on the stat sheet, as he’s the forward that is used to spark a line that’s play is dragging. He brings his teammates into the fight, not to mention now he’s producing points like a top line player. He’s just now starting to touch his potential. It would have to be a severe overpayment to move Wilson IMO. Even then I’d still hesitate.
