Offer sheet annual average (AAV) is calculated by dividing the contract value by the lower of: 1. The contract length, or 2. Five years

Next year Habs
I'd love for the Habs to land Lindstrom but he missed a lot of Hockey this year, i don't think he'd make the jump to the NHL right away.
If he does i think he would need to be better surrounded than Mantha and Ylonen as wingers
Maybe Gallagher and Armia - both defensively responsible and Gallagher is still a pretty decent play driver.

Reunite the magic that line had in Laval a few years ago
But yes Pezzetta - Evans - RHP can be 4th line instead

I think it would be better for the Habs to hold the 5th overall pick. There's a slight chance Demidov slides which is enough of a reason to keep it ... and Lindstrom/Iginla/Hutton are pretty decent consolidation prizes if he doesn't.
I do like Perfetti, i wonder if a package of Barron and WPG's 2024 1st would interest them?

Kaliyev wouldn’t fit on the team
Turcotte is a good player who’s got unlucky but MTL management loves Jake Evans & Jordan Harris. LAK already have 3 LHD, so starting there they wouldn't target Jordan Harris. Evans could replace Lizotte (because he might price himself out), but doubt MTL moves Evans</div></div>
I think they'd resign Evans but Harris i think is the piece that falls victim to Mtl's defensive depth.

I don't know man
Maybe the stories about being hard to couch are exaggerated
Maybe they're not and as he matures he becomes more coachable
Maybe he's just a late bloomer
Was just looking around for young forwards who may be had at a discount
TBH I was more interested to know what's KKs value than i was about the psychology of why he hasn't reached he's potential

Sill only 23, could be worth it as a reclamation project.
Habs new development team might be able to elevate his game.
Its a risk for sure but the asking price won't be as high as other young forwards out there.

Huge mistake trading 5th overall for Zegras, let alone adding Mailloux to the trade. If anyone was adding here it would be ANA.
The NYI trade is fine.</div></div>
Yes overpays, but Fans of both teams will still say it's not enough. Especially Anaheim.

Would make more sense if Habs were ready to contend
But they are still at least 2 years away from making the palyoffs and by then Marner would have walked in free agency.

In my dream world Mesar + Harris/Struble/Barron + WPG 2024 1st gets it done

Ylonen offense has not translated to NHL yet but the potential is still there and he is responsible(ish) defensively

Blues and Montreal fans thoughts
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mokumboi</b></div><div>How good pundits are is irrelevant, and nobody told me what to think. You said I was overrating him, but I'm rating him just like everyone who watches all these players does. So maybe the issue isn't everyone overrating him, it's that you're underrating him. He's a very high floor prospect with an elite shot and a well rounded game. A late 1st and a meh Dmen doesn't get a sniff of Snuggerud.</div></div>
You still don't get it
i said "i think you're overrating him"
This sentence is formed as an opinion not a fact
Maybe i am underrating him, it's possible but why does that upset you so much?
I'm not pushing the fact that you have to like the offer, I'm saying you don't have to react like a whiny little punk about it.
Look at BluesReport18 reply to my original post, that's how a mature human being replies
Wha wha " are you serious"
wha wha "but the pundits say"
wha wha wha

ONE.
I'm not over-rating anything. My view of him is precisely in line with the consensus. Where he was picked two years ago is entirely irrelevant. Time marches on, dude.</div></div>
It's ok to have different opinions.
No need call me out for being serious or dare me to find what pundits have to say. I
Once upon a time it was acceptable for 2 people with different takes to have a healthy conversation. No need to get insulted because I'm not as high on him as you are.
And there's nothing wring with being a solid 2nd line player. You should be happy if he develops into that. If he does more than great!
You aren't as high on Harris as I am, that's fine. I moved on without calling you out or crying about pundits.
And when it comes to pundits, in the 30 years i have been watching hockey i can't count how many players have been celebrated by these same pundits as being blue chip can't miss top level next big thing superstars only to fade away. Hundreds if not more.
I watch hockey and form opinions
I may be wrong and that's fine
i don't need someone to tell me what to think
Time will tell with Snuggerud
I hope he becomes all you hope and considering your expectations the Blues should definitely hold on to him
