Over the course of the last two seasons his game has evolved. He is more trustworthy with his decision making overall. In (22/23) he ended the season averaging 17:54 TOI. The bulk of his ice time came at ES and PK. On occasion he was deployed on the PP - but not significantly.
His defensive detail, and overall battle, has improved - not shy about competing in the trenches - more confident overall - credited with 107 hits and 93 shot blocks
Has always moved very well - can contribute better than secondary offense - needs to keep things simple to get best results

Being used at ES and on the PK
A skater. 2-way Transitional 'D'. His defensive detail has improved. More reliable than the past in his zone. A bumper. Not overly physical.
Having said that he still has a long way to go. There are times when his gaps / reads are not well timed ... leading to odd man rushes against or hectic small areas defending.
At his best when he keeps his game simple.

A frustrating player to evaluate at times but making positive progress
He appears ready to take the next step with his development and play to his identity
He came into the league projected to be a skating , two-way / leaning transitional 'D'
Plenty quick and fast enough to play that style of game but his execution has been inconsistent. He can lead the rush. He can join as an extra layer.
Has started to limit his turnovers. Decision making is improving.
