2-way 'D' - potentially more offense in time. For now he is getting his feet wet at the NHL level and earning the trust of his coaches. Matches up, generally, versus middle six opponents.
On the rise. Room for his category ranking to improve as he gets more miles as a pro.

Hard nosed 2-way defender who was used in all situations (secondary PP) at the college level but is very unlikely to be a power-play contributor at the pro level.
Good feet, quick to space on the penalty kill, gaps up aggressively in his lane, competes
Less is more with the puck at times - best when he keeps things simple.
Has the ability to absorb contact and still make outlets from his zone
He will require time at the AHL level to work on finer details / small area puck plays / there have been times he tosses pucks into dangerous areas in his zone when under duress.

As a pro he is not likely to contribute on the (PP).

High end compete. Physical element. Battles. Could end up being a solid #4 at the NHL level.

Trending up. AVG TOI hovered close to (20:00) this season overall.
Used in all situations. On the PP can skate pucks up ice and lead the PP B/O. When he gets a look at the net he directs pucks on net from range. Rarely takes a slap shot. Quick release snap and wrist shot. Capable distributor. At ES and on the PK he doesn't give away space in his end for free. Closes on opponents. Has an edge. Plays to the line and sometimes over it.
A physical, 2-way D. Lower end secondary offense. Hard nosed. Pro style approach.
