Pace ranges at times - not a burner between the blue lines but does have a bit of an extra gear to surprise opponents at times.
On balance he continues to play to his strengths offensively compared to the rest of his team mates.

Elite in the face-off circle. Won nearly 59% of his draws.
Produces offense at ES. Scored 28G-26A. Creative on the PP. Fantastic vision and puck touch from the flank.
Paces himself at times. His skating is trending down overall but his hockey IQ is elite - allowing him to read/react and impact the game responsibly. Remains a high end offensive talent at the NHL level. Doesn't play with a ton of physicality and rarely blocks shots.

Used in all situations. Takes charge. Sets plays in all three zones. More of a distributor than a shooter. Picks his spots with his pace off the rush. On occasion he shows an extra gear and deception. Element is offense but the fact he wins as many face-offs as he does gives his team a chance to start with the puck more often than not.
