ROUND 1TEAMORIGINALPLAYERDETAILS
1Logo of the Edmonton OilersLogo of the Buffalo SabresNo explaination needed. Best of the best.
2Logo of the Buffalo Sabres-Say what you want, he deserves this spot and if any NHL GM had hind-sight they'd make this pick at #2.
3Logo of the Arizona Coyotes-Many other great options for this spot but this is the safe pick here.
4Logo of the Toronto Maple Leafs-Originally picked in the 2nd round, this still feels like a steal at 4th overall. Easily a top 3 pick in most drafts.
5Logo of the Carolina Hurricanes-Dropped enough spots to be notable but still remains a top 5 pick, he can't fall further than that in all respect.
6Logo of the New Jersey Devils-With his talent where it is now it feels weird picking him here because he definitely deserves to be higher but taking into account the 5 years he missed at the beginning of his carrer, you have to apply some kind of penalty to his ranking. Still a absolute steal at 6.
7Logo of the Philadelphia Flyers-This is where you really start to see how deep this draft is. Connor at 7, no brainer here.
8Logo of the Columbus Blue Jackets-You have to wonder how good he would be stat-wise offensivelyif he wasn't on the islanders. Not a huge upgrade on the team here whatsoever but we know what this guy can do so he goes here.
9Logo of the San Jose Sharks-This guy is a real talent and was a steal in the 2nd round, earned a top 10 spot here.
10Logo of the Colorado Avalanche-First D-Man off the board here, dropping 2 spots, but imagine how much better he'd be on the Avs, scary thought.
11Logo of the Florida Panthers-It was a careful decision picking Werenski over Chabot, these 2 guys have alot of similarities, while Chabot is a more well rounded D-Man, his offensive upside is slightly weaker so he goes here.
12Logo of the Dallas Stars-Heading into his late 20s we are really seeing this guy reach his potential, a talented goal scoring winger and a bargin of a pick at #12.
13Logo of the Boston BruinsLogo of the Los Angeles KingsTalented point getter, some attitude issues when he was with the Sharks, the Bruins leadership would likely fix that. It's a fun idea to think about what his carrer would have looked like up to this point had he been in Beantown all these years.
14Logo of the Boston Bruins-Boston has wanted this guy for a while now and they get him here, a solid all-round defender, safe pick here.
15Logo of the Boston BruinsLogo of the Calgary FlamesThis guy is a fun player to watch, back to back 30 goal seasons at the time of this re-draft. A small guy with talent, grit, and an attitude... Sound familiar Bruins fans?
16Logo of the New York IslandersLogo of the Pittsburgh PenguinsBig drop here, after a slow start to his career he seems to be really starting to bloom into a talanted scorer, maybe he's not quite what he was expected to be but theres no denying he is still a top 20 pick.
17Logo of the Winnipeg Jets-This guy plays the game the right way, great 200ft game and his offensive game just keeps growing, the stats show it.
18Logo of the Ottawa Senators-
Vince Dunn (+38 )
Solid D-Man with some offensive upside, keeps improving his game every season too.
19Logo of the Detroit Red Wings-Drops well out of the top 10 but his past two seasons in Boston are showing that he is a legitimate top-6 forward on most rosters.
20Logo of the Minnesota Wild-Another strong and skilled defender, not much to write home about but this is a relatively safe pick.
21Logo of the Ottawa SenatorsLogo of the New York IslandersHis reputation as a streaky winger could not be more accurate but when he's hot, he's HOT. Has shown that he can show up during clutch-time, maybe a change of scenery would have done him well.
22Logo of the Washington Capitals-
Adin Hill (+54 )
Has quietly become an elite goaltender and has a cup to his name. Is he the real deal or does he just have a good team infront of him? Washington is the perfect destination to find that out.
23Logo of the Vancouver Canucks-I see way to much praise for a guy thats only broken the 20-goal mark once, none the less, he is still a first rounder.
24Logo of the Philadelphia FlyersLogo of the Nashville PredatorsHe's really fallen off in recent years statistically but he seems to never really be used properly, who knows what would've been if he escaped the Isles earlier than he did. Putting him here just based off potential.
25Logo of the Winnipeg JetsLogo of the St. Louis Blues2-time cup champ, his numbers aren't flashy but he is. Fun to watch and shows up when he's needed.
26Logo of the Montreal Canadiens-Slow start but he's turned it around, he's broken the 20-goal mark thrice now, he belongs right here for now.
27Logo of the Anaheim Ducks-
Troy Terry (+121 )
He had us all excited in 2022 when he almost broke the 40-goal mark out of nowhere. That production has definitely dipped but his numbers are still solid. One more good season and I'd put him closer to the 20th pick.
28Logo of the New York IslandersLogo of the New York RangersShutdown defender and good at it. You want to fix your PK? This is your guy. You want points? Look... Elseware...
29Logo of the Columbus Blue JacketsLogo of the Tampa Bay LightningKind of similar to Troy Terry's story in that he had a really impressive 2022 season but has recessed since and it's been a bit more of a decline than Terry so he's a few pick after him. But still this is great for originally a 6th rounder.
30Logo of the Arizona CoyotesLogo of the Chicago BlackhawksSolid defender with a bit of offence to his game, not to mention a 2-time cup champ.

Lol Since when has Timo ever had attitude issues at the pro level? Also having Boeser over him is the epitome of recency bias. He had a tough year but I'd easily have him on par if not higher than Barzal

I think it's pretty easy to figure out that Carlo should be higher. You've got two guys on the bruins roster drafted ahead of him, and I guarantee you if you made the bruins pick one of the three players, its Carlo in a landslide.
