How about two forward prospects for Chlapik? Maxim Letunov (lefty C) and Nick Swaney (righty C) are who I'll offer. Guys with good upside that you can build around; both are killing it for their respective NCAA teams. The reason why I propose something like this is b/c I need forward help now, as my once great F depth is now looking thin. Are they good enough to move the needle for Chlapik?

This doesn't really give us anything we're looking for though. Maybe if you added something though.

Zuhlsdorf, Spencer for Jaros and a 3rd

            no thanks

And sorry... don't want to clog your AGM communications page. Keith Yandle got a 1st, a 2nd, Duclair and John Moore... Mcdonagh is better than Yandle imo, so my asking price isn't misguided or "a fleece" imo

I don't think that trade was very good for NYR though

If you guys are serious in your pursuit of playoffs are absolutely deadset against moving Chabot we could discuss your 2018 1st ++

We're not looking like a playoff team this year, but maybe next year.

And OEL is better than ALL of them, so maybe I'm not asking for enough since I gave you a more than fair offer in exchange for him.

We're going after McDonagh more than OEL right now as we see him as a better fit with the team.

Okie. What is that something that I should add? I don't know what your needs are.

Note that I don't exactly have picks to work with. But to give you some idea of value, I'd say Letunov is worth a late 2nd/early 3rd, as is Swaney.

And remember that you'll get a free Adam Gilmour and Chase Lang with every trade! (Offer only valid until February 28, 2018.)

I was looking for a pick maybe. If you have a 2018 2nd i'd be interested.

That wouldn't need to involve the other guys, it would be Chlapik for 2018 2nd + something.

@Icegirl I may have Chlapik involved in another deal. There's a deal i've been trying to get done but Chlapik might need to be involved. idk though, i haven't got an answer yet.

If it must be a 2018 2nd, then I can't do that. The PHI one is going to CHI; I'm also getting the ANA one tomorrow but will not move it. The idea is that Misley or Letunov (or maybe Andrei Svetlakov) could be used in lieu of a 2018 2nd, as I value those guys at or just below that. In your opinion, do any of those guys have value equal or close to a 2018 2nd?

Yeah, they do, but they don't really give us anything we need right now. We could use a 2018 2nd but i don't want to move Chlapik just to get those other guys.

I think Turris is more of a deadline deal.

Maybe one of them but not both. I'm currently discussing another deal for a top pairing left handed defenseman. If that doesn't get done then maybe.

            Alright, keep me posted.
Since I know OEL is interesting for you.
I would also be willing to retain salary, if need be.

There's another guy we might go after before OEL but if neither deal works we'll talk to you.

Ok. Let me know if you change your mind. i might add something, but toffoli would be a lot cheaper in the future for you. Stone is going to be looking at $7M+ and swapping them might give you the space to resign Karlsson too. Just a thought.

Karlsson isn't a UFA until next year. This might change but not now.

I think Icegirl is saying what some of us are thinking... you're not interested in trades, you're just seeing how far GMs will go to get your players...

AK_tune's quick guide to managing the Sens:
            1. Evaluate the direction of your team. You made the playoffs last year, do you want to move up into 'true contender' status with additions to the current roster, or do you think there are underperformers that aren't necessary to the winning formula. What is the biggest weakness of your team? Is your prospect pool more important than your 2017-18 team?
            2. Use step 1 to make a list of moveable assets and realistic desires.
            3. Approach GMs with a clear and concise plan for improving your team. Be flexible, but only if it doesn't affect the list in Step 2.
            4. Start the negotiation with a middle ground already in mind; Don't start there, and don't stop unless you reach the middle ground. Then, hold firm.
            5. Pull the dam trigger!

            Hope this helps, RAIF
