If I were to retain the pick increases... I can take Enstrom for the season yea... would want another good prospect or high pick to take him

So you are at something like Victor Rask for Dano, Enstrom (waives his NMC), a prospect like Virtanen/Telegin/Berdin and my 2018 2nd???

Everyone is Touchable isn't just a catchy trademark. Yes he is available, along with all of my other players if I feel like the trade makes my team better.

                          Thinking along the lines of

                          New York Rangers

                          Erik Foley
                          Sami Niku
                          Marko Dano/18 3rd Jets
                          2nd
                          Enstrom

                          Winnipeg Jets

                          Rask
Potentially a contract or two to balance stuff out

With retention in the deal it would likely need to be your 19 1st and 19 2nd in replacement of the 19 2nd and Marko Dano above

I want Keifer Bellows for him but that is highly optimistic. I would accept a second round pick.

Not awful but way too much future for me to give up for what would amount to my fourth line centre. The difference between Rask and Lowry isn't enough for me to pay that price. I would still explore what it would cost for you to liberate Enstrom.

Just trying to get roughly equal value on the market as to what Eller got... Rask hasn't had a great year... but is still likely worth a 2nd and prospect or 2nd and 3rd imo

Not sure if I can liberate Enstrom without BOE approval because you only have 2/4 NMCs required...

But it would likely need to include Niku and Foley

I have enough cap room now to make a deal for Simmonds without having to include Spooner who you didn't seem to like very much. I think I'm offering something better than Spooner doing this, but how would you feel about Bos 2018 1st for Simmonds?

Bumping this to see if you prefer a 2018 1st+ to Ryan Spooner+.

I can't add Rask without unloading Enstrom's contract. Might need to revisit in the offseason.

IRL you wouldn't get Simmonds for both Spooner and a first. unless you are of the opinion that Nash is better than Simmonds.

Real life prices are more than double what prices on here are. Look at what Rick Nash got in real life and then look at his trade for Bouwmeester on here.... a lot different type of package.

I will not go as high as a 2018 1st + Spooner for Simmonds. I could do some other type of package but I'm not going to burn 2 really quality assets for a 1 and a 4th year rental that I wouldn't afford in 2019-2020 because of McAvoy, Heinen and Carlo needing to be signed.

Who do you think is more valuable Torey Krug or Wayne Simmonds? Just for reference in case I pick up another LHD I might be able to move him.

Wayne Simmonds is a more complete player. The way we are doing UFAs now, you would be able to sign a top 15 LW at fair market value. I would doubt that either of us would let an asset like Simmonds walk. I'm fine keeping him and seeing what I can resign him for after the 2018-19 season.

Too bad you aren't Vegas. He already waived his NMC to be exposed in the draft.

I mean tbf... the Nash deal was in two parts... part 2 should be coming soon

I find that managers and power rankers in this game over value draft picks. The reality is that late first round picks only have about a 25% success rate of becoming a top 6 forward or a top 4 defenceman.

I think you absolutely love Simmonds which isn't bad, he's a good guy and very likable. I'll stop trying to get him. If you won't take a 20min defender who's outscoring him in real life for a guy who scores about 2 per 60 that would end up around 15 mins on your roster if it was a real team based on where he's slotted. He'd be a 41 point scorer and you have another 3rd line RW already on your roster to replace him in Armia if you moved Simmonds. When I look at your 2nd pair LHD I see a cap dump. Torey Krug has 39 Points in 57 games and plays 20 quality minutes a night. He's above average defensively at 5 on 5 as well, he just can't PK for crap. I think Krug makes your team better than Simmonds based on what would happen to your other players if the trade was made. Enstrom = #6D Armia = scoring line forward imo who can produce with limited ice time.

Scheifele and armia for vrana and backstrom
                          Or
                          Ehlers for vrana and pick

I think our valuations differ significantly. I must be a homer but I feel the gap between Ehlers and Vrana far exceeds a pick. Had you offered Vrana for Armia, that is a conversation piece.

I don't like Enstom at all in the deal you offered me. I think I'll keep Spooner, he fits better with my team long term than Simmonds as Spooner can be signed for half the price and I'm very constricted in cap when McAvoy, Carlo and Heinen gets raises soon. I think the way Spooner is playing he'd be the best "rental" I could have. 7 points in 3 games can't really be argued with.

I have build this team to be hard to play against. The opposing coaches would be faced with some major matchup headaches and I like collecting players that have a reputation of being difficult to play against. Any lineup that has the physicality of Byfuglien, Simmonds, Zadorov and Lowry paired with the size, skill and speed of this team will not be one that you wake up looking forward to play.
