Complete steal of a contract. At worst, Stafford is solid bottom 6 depth; at best, he could play on the 2nd line.

Sweeney could've easily kept Stafford for 800k and resigned Pastrnak... Good pickup for NJ at that cap hit, bad loss for the Bruins. Great depth guy.

What was Sweeney thinking? This is a steal of a contract. I thought he might want more like 1-2 mil.

at this stage of the summer, Stafford's lucky he got an actual contract and not just a PTO. he's probably glad to have the guaranteed $800K.
