Nothing wrong with having AHL depth. Don't get me wrong; Gionta shouldn't even be the 14th forward, as Steve Bernier is way better (too bad Bernier suffered a season-ending injury in December). But he's fine for the Sound Tigers, and if Bernier gets hurt again, there are worse 14th forwards out there.
