9 days ago, Ty Dellandrea was also traded for a 4th round pick in 2025.

The question I have is whether Texier is better than Dellandrea.

IMO, the answer is yes.

St. Louis wins the trade.

I remember. Typically fan bases with little positivity argue the most inane things.

Wow, good pickup for the Blues. Bad trade for Columbus. Immediately signed by the Blues to a nice contract. Not sure what Columbus is trying to do here, Waddell?

Buffalo is the best example sadly.

The player problably didn't want to resign. He returned in Europe before, I guess Waddell didn't want to lose him for nothing.

When you hire Babcock then fire him before a training camp is some kind of dysfunctional
Just look at the forums and Sabres fans are complaining that KA isn’t making enough moves despite making a trade yesterday

I never heard this once from CBJ fans. All thought it was meaningless and you shouldn’t judge someone for mental health issues. Gaslighting is their strong suit

Solid trade, Texier’s just looks like he needs a change of scenery and CBJ gets a pick back

He was having a really good year till he went home for personal reasons, and really never wanted to come back.
He did not seem like the same player.
IN the end it's a numbers game. I like Texier but he was sort of the low man on the totem pole with all these high draft picks.

He wanted to close to his family. He first sign in here Finland, but wanted to go Switzerland when its was closer to his family. He is loyal type of guy and have big heart. I continue following his career now in St. Louis. He has potential to be solid 2-3 two way liner. Hopefully in St. Louis he get real chance to develop and get ice time. I think CLB should have got second round pic on Tex, but ofc i am bit biaset.

This is why I wished MTL had acquired him.

A 2nd would have been difficult. If would have tried to swap him for another young underachiever, or at least a depth NHLer (which a 4th rounder will probably never become).
