I would guess canes do if they’re interested in him. Late first and a project type D who still has some potential but likely tops out as a bottom pair or 7D offensive dman doesn’t seem like a winning offer to me. I’d take it tho!

I think he'd be a good pickup for the Hurricanes... pretty cheap because of the ELC and probably able to come right in and play top-9 minutes

The canes aren’t giving you full return on McG there. Smith really isn’t that good

The Appleton deal is likely pretty fair, although you could likely just call it a 3rd. The issue is NSH isn't the team who is going to pay for him. NSH has plenty of wingers who can currently fill in that 3RW role and so there just isn't room for him.

The player on WPG's roster that NSH would have a good deal of interest in is likely Perfetti, but I have no idea what his cost would be.

Columbus fan here: no. Iafallo is on the wrong side of 30 without a ton of production history and two 2nd-rounders for Laine at $6M AAV isn't gonna cut it.

is there a deal that colombus would accept, like maybe centered around a guy like chaz lucius?, or would columbus be looking for win-now paler?

If it's gotta be Lucius, there'd have to be at least a 1st-rounder coming back. If it's Barlow or McGroarty, then a 2nd (or maybe even just a 3rd) would be an acceptable additional asset. This assumes that the Jackets retain down to at most $6M for WPG cap hit.
