      Breakdowns:

      Ehlers = Pulock
      McGroarty > #20
      Schmidt costs a bit more than a second, offsetting McGroarty for #20

      Lee is like Monahan. Has declined for a few seasons but you know he will bounce back

      Pelech has a market and I think he gets more than a 2nd

      I’d accept. He projects as roughly a 40 PPG player; his value is probably $3-4 million per year. 2 end round picks is fair for the excess contract value. We need to pick up a couple of middle six forwards for short term this offseason anyways; may as well put a bit of extra cap space to good use.

      Honestly, I might too, if we were continuing the patient approach to the rebuild. But it just seems like KD has different ideas for going into next season. CHI's rosters spots are already limited as it is, i'm not sure Lee is the kind of player he wants to bring in. But it's possible.

      I agree w/ Bedsy. Hawks probably decline. The '24 Edmonton 2nd doesn't really have 2nd round value in this draft and this deal also has a 4th going back to the Isles. Just not enough. Especially after the Walman trade yesterday. I'd want the '24 LA 2nd back plus the Isles '25 2nd with future considerations back to NY. If the Isles want a pick back, then Lee costs either the '25 or '26 1st to move.

      You could probably get Mike Reilly for less than $2 million annually. That would give you slightly more $ at Montour and Domi assuming there will be a lot of teams interested once they hit the open market.
