Boston fans wanted way too much for Ullmark. While this return is weird, I don't think its lopsided. 1st for Ullmark is fair value, regardless of what Boston fans want to say.

Goalies always go for less in trades than people expect. That being said, great move for Ottawa and other than the fact that every goalie seems to be way better in Boston than they are elsewhere I don't get taking back Korpisalo for Boston even with that retention.

So does Sweeney buyout Korpisaalo or we keep as a backup? Keeping him would go against the goal of an Ullmark trade, they literally needed to use that 5M and fill holes elsewhere but they take Korpisaalo back. His buyout is relatively cheap but extremely lengthy.

It's a pretty manageable buyout.
