IDK what are your expectations, but no rebuilding team (like MTL) would trade away a blue chip prospect for anything else in return. See: Drysdale for Gauthier.

Drysdale was not a blue chip prospect.
He was an oft injured, disgruntled, poor performer. That very much showed after the trade with his play in PHL.
But PHL got what they could moving Gauthier out of the conference.

We could give you Dubas in return

I'm not sure I like that. But Guerin is ****ing terrible.

I mean, Blomqvist could be a better option if i add a 3rd as well

To be honest none of this is really a good option for a team that needs a full rebuild. Question is, will Dubas do it right by moving the malkins and letangs while there may still be interest in them. Giving up a big package for a D man that is the only piece of the future is an awful idea to begin with.

Letang was awesome in the years you contended but Dobson is way above him. Bit of homer coming out from you here.

Dobson definitely isn't way above him as of right now. They had pretty similar seasons at 5v5. Dobson stacked points on the PP which wouldn't have happened had he been on the Pens this year with the absolute nightmare of a PP they had lol. Probably would be a 1A/1B situation - just like they did with EK and Letang this year. Karlsson isn't going anywhere anyway so the discussion probably doesn't matter haha
