Moving up to 2

Created by: Renegade_H
Team: 2024-25 Philadelphia Flyers
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 23, 2024
Published: Jun. 24, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Clearly, Flyers want to make moves for Demidov to appease Michkov. Using a draft trade chart, 12 (324pts) and 32(132pts) make up roughly 450 out of the 735 points needed to move up. I think Farabee next to Bedard should help make up that difference

It's one of the more interesting trades for the #2. I'll agree with that. I don't think the Hawks touch trading the #2 unless its an extreme overpay. This is not that.

Between the last two drafts, this draft, and the next two, the Hawks have 10 first round picks and 22 second round picks. They have a ton of quantity. If you want #2 without giving up an elite piece in return, it’ll have to be a huge overpay. Two more unprotected 1sts probably gets it done.

Clearly, the Hawks decline that offer. The Hawks clearly aren't trading that pick. But if they did, it would clearly take something along the lines of #12, an unprotected '25 1st, Bonk and let's say Foerester. Clearly, it takes an overpay to move up from #12 to #2 in this draft.

That doesn't even come close to getting the 2nd overall pick.

Hah! I just finished writing that it would take Foerster, Bonk and 12th overall to acquire Anaheim's third overall.

I think that we're both right.
