Let's give the Habs management the benefit of the doubt that there were "reasons" not to draft him besides the risk he would not come to the NHL.

Highly doubt there is. They also seemed very set of Reinbacher. Weren't they willing to trade down a bit due to their interest in him?

They definitely loved Reinbacher. But did they draft BPA in their minds? If yes, what did they think was wrong with Michkov?

They knew Arizona would take Reinbacher at 6 if they traded down.

It was probably a combination of character issues and when hes coming over. Michkov met with Flyers enough and address his character issues which stemmed from frustration of linemates not being on his level.
