Id assume if Yzerman pays to move a dman it's Holl although I'm sure he'd give maatta away for nothing.

Take out the third from Detroit and sure. Don't know why Winnipeg would be interested in that package

I dont think Matta has a positive value because of his contract. Winnipeg gets a younger player locked in for a couple years to replace the UFAs that might not stay (Dillon) and a second.

He’s not Cutter but that package is close in value to two late firsts which is a good amount for a player that wants a trade and hasn’t played in the NHL yet.

Morrissey, Schmidt, Stanley, Samberg and Heinola under team control as left handed defensemen.
Maatta is a good defenseman and definitely not negative value. Definitely not paying assets to dump him when we don't need cap space.

That's like saying "Celebrini isn't worth that because he hasn't played in the NHL yet." 🙄

Selective justification 101.

That isnt true at all, or maybe it is if you only look at half my argument. Celebrini and Rutger are different tiers of prospects. Rutger is closer to Savoie or Lekkerimaki than he is to celebrini.

If you want to give Stanley samberg or heinous a shot, i think that’s something they deserve, but they aren’t locks to succeed at NHL level. That isnt a reason to want or need Ferraro in a trade so maybe it has to be reworked. I dunno about the wings I just always see dumps on ACGMs so if they dont need space they dont need space, Ill keep that in mind the next two weeks that we have this site lol. thank you for the info

Detroit wants cap space but they don't need it. If they want to make any significant improvements to the roster, they will move out some cap. It is not a dire need and there is no pressure for playoffs, despite this past seasons success and what some fans think. We won't be spending assets to move cap. Our prospect pool is good right now but there are some holes. Every lottery ticket we can get can help fill those.

Samberg played most of the season and played very very well. He is a lock for the team and likely second pairing duties. Stanley was coming into his own near the end of the season and into the playoffs. Heinola needs a chance or he needs to be moved.

Detroit isn't downgrading picks to give you Maatta lol.

Not a cap dump. If there's no market for him at full price they can easily retain.

Rubbish.

Your point is basically a player has no value because he's never played in the NHL. 🤔

Straw man argument.

That isnt my argument at all. My argument is that because he isnt the top tier prospect who is all but a lock to succeed at the NHL level, the fact he hasn’t played there yet is a legitimate concern. You would have the same questions if you are trading for Lekkerimaki and Savoie. You wouldnt about cutter.
I didn’t know that a young defenseman and an early second is “no value”
Im sorry you keep reading half my replies.

I was unfamiliar with the Jets needs, I couldn’t see sharks moving zetterlund for this but maybe Kostin + but that prolly isnt the tier youre looking for either.
