Wait, did you just say that Zuccarello is better than Boldy?

Maybe you should look at the numbers. Who led the team in assists?

69 points to 63 points. And 6 less games for Zucci. He was also taken off the top line which was stupid.

You legit don't know what you are talking about. Did you even watch the wild this year?

Who led the team in assists? 6 games less and a difference of 6 total points. Boldy took away Zucci's ice time on the top line.

Zucc is a power play specialist and anyone who watched the Wild would know this. Zucc is exactly the player you think Boldy is. Slow and extremely turnover prone.

5v5 Points:
Boldy 39 (#2 on team)
Zucc 28 (#6 on team)

5v5 goals:
Boldy 18 (#2 on team)
Zucc 6 (#9 on team)

5v5 assists:
Zucc 22 (#2 on team)
Boldy 21 (#4 on team)

If you do an even deeper dive, on 2/7/2024 they put the Kap-Ek-Boldy line together. From there to the end of the season, Kaprizov played at a 127 point pace (51 points in 33 games). Kaprizov's pace before that was an 86 point pace (45 points in 43 games). Looks to me like Kaprizov does way better with Boldy than with Zucc.

Before vs After 2/7/2024

Before
5v5 points:
Rossi 24 points in 50gp
Kaprizov 20 pts in 43gp
Zucc 19pts in 41gp
Boldy 19 pts in 43gp

After
5v5 Points:
Kaprizov 27 points in 33gp
Boldy 20 points in 33gp
Zuccarello 9 points in 29gp
Rossi 9 points in 33gp

Boldy without Kaprizov performed about the same as Zucc with Kaprizov. Zucc without Kaprizov was terrible, worse than Boldy without Kaprizov and way worse than Boldy with Kaprizov. Zucc also had a drastically negative effect on Rossi's 5v5 points as well as you can see.

I watched every game. You are cherry picking. You could produce the same type of stats on line 1 for Hartman. Just because it wasn't Zucci on the top line, doesn't mean the numbers would be different. And probably better. It's obvious the whole team revolves around Kaprizov. Where did the PP rank? Rossi should've been on PP instead of Boldy.

I just don't think Boldy is as good as you think he is. If his value is as high as you claim, He should be traded. OTT fans are willing to give up #7. A team who's fans haven't seen the playoff in how many years?

KK/Tkhauck/Zucci
Olgrein/EK/UFA/Heidt
Marat/Freddy/C. Brown
JoJo/Folino/Hartman

I respect your opinion. You do back up stats. But it's not all about stats in hockey. It's about vision and placement. I think Boldy gets lucky more often than not. And Most is because of Kaprizov. They need a superstar next to KK. And It isn't Boldy.

If all those stats are so negative to Zucci, why did he lead the team in assists? in 69 Games.

Boldy produced without Kaprizov. Zucc barely did anything without Kaprizov. I don't know what else to tell you. The fact that Zucc had 7 total even strength goals for the year is simply egregious. You know who did better than that? All of Kaprizov, Rossi, Boldy, Eriksson Ek, Hartman, Foligno, and Dewar. He tied freaking Middleton and Brodin for even strength goals... Zucc is leaching off of Kaprizov to get his assist totals.

Also, you repeating the notion that the PP was terrible just goes to show that your eyes are lying to you. They had the 10th best power play. Rossi over Boldy would certainly be a choice. I don't agree with it.

Because his lame ass got to play next to Kaprizov for over 500 5v5 minutes and on the top pp unit. You take Kaprizov away from Zucc and he's a lame duck.
