Wings pass, they have no interest in overpaid, injury prone, backup, no glove hand, signed for 50 more years jarry. Then you want then to retain on husso. Hysterical. No clue at all

The whole point of PIT moving Jarry out is to save cap space.
They aren't going to take back cap in the process in a worse goalie.

This does absolutely nothing for the penguins this season.... which really is the only season that matters for them as their core is so old.

Except for the fact that as good as Ned is, he is a 1A/1B at best and needs to have a veteran goalie behind him, or able to take over if Neds goes down with injury. The thought is save about $1.35M while still being competitive. But with that being said, it would likely be better to chat with Utah and make a swap for Vejmalka as he costs a little bit less than Husso.

1.35 mil isn't going to really do anything to help the penguins while down grading in net.
If the penguins move Jarry it's because they believe in Bloom, not to save 1.35 mil.
This is a trade that works for DET, it does nothing at all for the penguins which is why they would never do this.

The penguins need cap space opened now, not next year. While Ned is a backup goalie, at some point you choose who you are going to throw your lot behind. Every team takes risks at some point.
For the penguins, you have to ask, is the risk of Blom struggling worth the cap space as opposed to another season of Jarry, where he struggled at times last year as well.
If the difference is an actual 1LW and better defense in front of the goalie, than you might say it's worth the risk.
But what isn't worth the risk, is taking on a worse goalie to save 1 mil in cap. That does nothing for the team.
